I just always thought Utley was a better prospect than Phillips, who I considered overhyped and overrated. Although, again, I do think Phillips will carve out a good career now that he's harnessed his talent.

I wonder if Papelbon's got a shot at the Cy Young. I doubt it, but his numbers are eyepopping (although today hurts them slightly).

i think his best shot will have less to do with him and more to do with the AL starters. when contreras's numbers come back down to earth, papelbon's will look better to the committee.

When did I say that Phillips is better than Utley? I just thought Phillips was having a better first half. I never expected Phillips to hit .320 the rest of the year. He is still around .290 8 jacks and 50 rbi's with 17 steals. He also plays the best second base in the major leagues. Pretty good for a PTBNL.
