What happens now? Is there any way UVa can get in? I think it would take State winning the ACC, and then no upsets in any other tourneys. That still probably won't be enough. I hate to see it -- I think they could actually do some damage against some teams outside the ACC (look at their non-conference record).

I agree... I meant to say that I thought it would take State winning the ACC and no other upsets for them to even have a shot at the NCAA Tourney, but I don't think there is a snowball's chance for that. They would really have to get some help to sneak in there.

I definitely think the NIT is a lock. I actually think they should do well in the NIT, unless they are too disheartened about not making the NCAA (see two years ago).

There is really no case for UVA to get in. They have had 1 good win (Duke) and some pretty bad losses. A losing, or .500 record in conference does not bode well when it comes to getting an at large berth.

Yeah, their RPI is 50 as of today. And, there are more than 15 teams already in who are lower-rated than them in the RPI. That's a pretty good indication that they're done.
