John Walker Lindh, American ex-Taliban militant, set to walk free Thursday

Sentencing reports have indicated that “good behavior” may serve as justification for Lindh’s early release.

Furthermore, he is alleged to have told a TV producer last March that he would “continue to spread violent extremism Islam upon his release.

This should end well........

He’s already implicated himself. He’s going to walk out of prison, and implicate others whom the police don’t know enough about. If they do their work properly, it’ll be a case of hanging the idiot and his fellow idiots with a noose they made out of their own rope.

Did you read some of the restrictions they've put on him? Only one that makes any sense is the no passport restriction. However, not sure that is even that effective given the internet, etc.

For individuals like this, we really should explore bringing back lynching as a form of capital punishment and televise the hell out of it.

Put it on Pay-per-View, and give the earnings to Allison Spann. The daughter who hardly knew her father because this scum bag and his idiot terrorist friends revolted in captivity and killed him.

Nah, as that would make us like them. At the least, we should take his own words into account before releasing him. If we want to use him to get others, maybe put him in some lesser security prison or something. Seems odd to just let him free out on the streets given his recent remarks.

Shoot, he'll probably be invited to be a keynote speaker at the DNC's 2020 convention.

I suspect that they let him loose so that they can catch others of his ilk. You know, like the failed Oblunder "Fast and Furious".

I just hope this one doesn't bite us in the S.

Wasn't he the guy that when staring down the barrel of a gun invoked: Wait wait I'm an American citizen?

Nah, he claimed to be Irish to begin with. It was only after he participated in the uprising at Qala-i-Jangi prison and was wounded during the retaking efforts that he admitted to being an American.

Unlike some places in the world, when a person does their time you let them out of prison. I guess the question should be why he only received a 20 year sentence. Federal crimes call for a person to do 85% unless they break BOP rules and lose good-time. Been in prison since 2001 so he did not lose much of his earned 15% good-time

I'm sure his PO will have him under strict supervision. He can still be sent back if he breaks those rules.
