That 70 point question made me dig into the archives and find this classic boxscore from 1995.

The 77 points scored against the 'Pack is the 2nd most in ACC history I think

RECAP:
Danny Kanell threw five touchdown passes and Warrick Dunn and Andre Cooper each scored three times as top-ranked Florida State rolled to a 77-17 victory over North Carolina State.

The Seminoles (3-0) set school records for points and touchdowns (11) in a game and have scored 192 points in their three contests this season. Florida State finished with 737 total yards.

Kanell completed 23 of 26 passes for 242 yards and four touchdowns to help the Seminoles build a 42-14 halftime lead. Overall, he set a school record for completion percentage (87.5)
by connecting on 28-of-32 passes for 310 yards with one interception.

Kanell threw touchdown passes of 12 and 24 yards to Cooper in the first quarter. Pooh Bear Williams also had a two-yard touchdown run for the Seminoles in the opening period.

Dunn scored all three of his touchdowns in the second quarter. He caught a 10-yard scoring strike from Kanell and had a 40-yard touchdown run to increase the Seminoles' advantage to 35-3 with 5:20 left in the first half. Dunn scored later in the period on a 12-yard pass from Kanell.

Dunn carried nine times for 101 yards and caught five passes for 31 yards.

Kanell threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to E.G. Green early in the third quarter. Later in the quarter, Green caught a 63-yard pass from backup Thad Busby.

North Carolina State (1-2, 0-2) scored in the first half on a 12-yard run by Tremayne Stephens and an 80-yard pass from Terry Harvey to Jimmy Grissett.

Cooper, who finished with eight catches for 144 yards, scored his third touchdown on a four-yard pass from Busby in the early fourth quarter. Dee Fester of the Seminoles added touchdown runs of 15 and 2 yards.

Florida State has won all 27 ACC games since joining the league, including each of its three games this season. The Seminoles won their sixth straight game over N.C. State, which fumbled the ball away six times.

Here's one of my faves:

Miami mauling took no time
TIM CROFT
Freedom Capital Bureau

TALLAHASSEE - Florida State's defense
did more Saturday than produce its first shutout of
the season with a 47-0 win over Miami.
It broke the spirit and will of a team that had done
the same thing to FSU on so many previous
occasions.
Fighting a temptation to be complacent, the
Seminoles played with fire and purpose. They
stuffed Miami's running game out of the gate, then
pinned back their ears and chased Hurricane
quarterbacks with the menace of pit bulls.
So completely did the Seminoles maul Miami in
the first half, holding the Hurricanes to 46 total
yards and minus-17 on the ground, that by
intermission the FSU defenders believed their
mission nearly complete.
"It was deceiving for awhile," said FSU
linebacker Sam Cowart. "They were working hard
and hitting. But once they realized that they couldn't
get anything, they kind of caved."
Defensive end Andre Wadsworth said, "You
could see it, they didn't have that nasty edge they
usually have."
The Seminole defense set the tone on Miami's
second possession. Quarterback Ryan Clement
drove the Hurricanes across midfield, one of three
times Miami saw the FSU side of the field, to the
31.
On third down, Clement rolled left and was
crunched by Cowart just as he released an
incomplete pass. Clement remained on the ground
several minutes before he was helped to the
sideline. Miami went on fourth down, but backup
quarterback Scott Covington's pass was batted
down by noseguard Corey Simon.
"That was a great hit" on Clement, said FSU
defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews. "The only
thing we were wondering is who was going to get
the second one."
Seminole defenders acknowledged that Miami
didn't impress them much in the projection room.
"All the film we watched, we knew we could
dominate them," said FSU defensive tackle Jerry
Johnson.
In particular, the Seminoles were confident they
could stop what has traditionally been a strong
Miami running game. Even though the Hurricanes
had been competent in four previous games behind
sophomore tailback Edgerrin James, FSU players
said their were flaws evident.
"We knew coming in that they had only two
running plays," Cowart said, a power off-tackle
play and a draw.
"It was the only two plays they used. It was the
same today. We played them well and stuffed
them."
With no ground attack to protect them, Clement
and Covington were little more than prey for the
Seminole pass rush. Only late in the game did
Miami threaten to score. Cornerback Samari Rolle's
interception snuffed that hope.
"That was the play of the game, that pick to
preserve the shutout," Wadsworth said. "Our
defense was just awesome. The goal at Florida State
is to have the shutout."
On film, FSU players said that Miami, a team that
once ruled college football by rarely refining its
emotion, lacked the fire that fueled its ascent to the
top.
"Miami for a long time had the athletes, the depth
and the attitude," said FSU linebacker Daryl Bush.
"They've had off-field problems and a coaching
change and I don't think they've quite had time to
adjust. They just don't have that attitude."
The Seminoles' early dominance kept that attitude
in check all afternoon, at least until frustration
triggered some late pushing and shoving.
The bottom line: FSU enhanced its already gaudy
defensive statistics, got the opportunity to play a lot
of people (29 players made tackles) and dominated
Miami like never before.
"They are not that far down, they just used to be
that good," Andrews said. "We played good today.
We can do better and that's our challenge right now,
to play our best. We skirted with that a bit today,
but we have to eliminate mistakes, eliminate the
missed assignments."
Saturday, at least the scoreboard said they did.

If you're going to post this, you better post the 24-7 game on the State board!
