This is for NCAA football career leaders. Give me the name and the yards for each statistic.
Rushing Yards-
Passing yards-
Receiving yards-
TD's rushing-
TD's receiving-
TD's passing-

This is for NCAA single game records. Give me the name and the yards for each statistic.
Rushing yards-
Passing yards-
Receiving yards-
TD's rushing-
TD's receiving-
TD's passing-
Note: The TD's receiving single game record may have been broken, maybe not, but its a record that has been around since 1969, if anyone comes up with something different let me know, same goes for the TD's rushing in a single season. As far as I know they still stand, but that game between Nebraska and Colorado in 2001, that RB had quite a few TD's. Isnt it GREAT to be a SEMINOLE!!!!!!!!!

This is for NCAA football career leaders. Give me the name and the yards for each statistic.

TD's receiving-Troy Edwards, La. Tech 1996-98

This is for NCAA single game records. Give me the name and the yards for each statistic.
Rushing yards-396 Tony Sands, Kansas vs. Missouri, 1991
Passing yards-716 David Klingler, Houston vs. Arizona St., 1990
Receiving yards-363 Randy Gatewood, UNLV vs. Idaho, 1994

G&G, I am sure my answers are incorrect and I can handle that. I am thinking this because none of the records are held by a >~~NOLE~~> Well these are my final answers! <img border="0" alt="[Wavy Guy]" title="" src="graemlins/wave.gif" />

NOLEY, you got them all right except for the very first one. Thats great!! Now can anyone tell me the career leader in yards rushing. What I think you did NOLEY was give me the avg. rushing yards per game, instead of the rushing leader overall

Actually, but only if you add his bowl game stats to that 6,397. There are players that hold records in the NCAA that have never been to a bowl game, just for the fact the team that they play on isnt good enough to make it there. You wouldnt see DUKE, WAKE FOREST, RUTGERS and TEMPLE in any bowl games but they could have that 1 player to set a record. If im not mistaken its either Duke or Wake that has a player or two that has set a record in NCAA football, thats why stats should be held to regular season play. There are some stats on Chris Weinke, that if you add his bowl game stats to his regular season stats then he has big numbers too in terms of passing yards and TD's etc.

Fair enough. I think it's important to look at both totals, though. The numbers are already skewed because not everyone will have played the same amount of games. This year, one team my play 13 regular season games, and one may play 11. Thus, yards-per-game is a better total. Then again, one player might get more carries in a game than another player -- so, yards-per-carry might be a more accurate total.

I think bowl game stats are just as important -- especially considering the competition is ever better (usually). Just my opinion, though....

Um, that's for the Carolina Hurricanes, dude.

And I think the War Chant was payback for the 1997 FSU band marching all around Chapel Hill....

Probably has something to do with the fact that your band plays it after every down....

It's meant to be a bit of intimidation factor at away games -- and I admit that it usually works, too.

But your band decided to try to play it one time this past game, and it was definitely bad timing. It was towards the end of the game, after a great play by us that -- about the time when it became apparent to everyone that FSU wasn't going to come back and win (because trust me, after watching Clemson come back on us the year before, I think everyone was expecting it again).

I have a feeling that the FSU band was in shock (just like everyone else in the stadium) and didn't really know what to do at that point. But, they probably tried to stand tall and show a little pride by playing the War Chant -- the crowd took it the wrong (or right, maybe) way and started doing our own mock War Chant. I think most of us were wise enough to realize that we needed to enjoy it while we could....

That WARCHANT will be loud and clear this year when the two teams meet. As for the Canes im not up on the Hockey, thats why I mentioned it as Hurricanes. Two teams I cant wait to see the Noles play, are 1. Louisville and 2. North Carolina. We lost 3 other games last year, but Louisville and N.C. stand out. Not to mention our yearly rival with the Canes and Gators. I took alot of heat from North Carolina fans last year, telling me the NOLES were finished. I want to see if those same people are still around this season
