I third the nomination of EatLeadCommie to be the Sooner board moderator.

I had approached drunkterp about it, but then I backed off citing the fact I'm really not online all that much, especially during the workweek.

ELC will make a fine moderator.

it says you're mod on the board as of now, SoonerTerp. Oh well. This isn't a big deal, but I do work from home normally at least 3 days a week. At work, they have, for the time being, taken away all our internet access.

As for getting Sooner fans on here, I'm not sure if either the OUinsider board run by James Hale or the old rivals board would appreciate the plug, and that's about the only way I can figure out how to get folks on here short of word of mouth.

SoonerTerp - you're in Norman, so that helps. I'm in Dallas, but any Sooner fans are limited to a few old goats that I work with (at least one of whom doesn't have net access at home).

Sooner fans are some of the most knowledgeable (about football anyway) and loyal in the world, not to mention a tad ****y. I think this place would really take off if we got a solid OU, Texas and Nebraska contingent floating around here.

I got an e-mail this afternoon informing me I had been made the moderator and I was kinda speechless. Like I said above, during the work week I'm not on that much, and I'm not sure anymore if I would be an adequate moderator.

You're undoubtedly right about James Hale's OUInsider board or the rivals.com board would appreciate us plugging this site in their forums. You might ask LawrenceTerp about this, when the old ACCBoards ceased to exist and then there were two different ACC forums.

In the most heinous of blasphemies, I'm not really a huge football fan, I'm more of a baseball/basketball person. That alone means I probably have no more business moderating an OU board.

Agree about a solid Sooner/Longhorn/Husker contigent ... when one thinks of Big XII football those are automatically the three teams everyone thinks of.

More later.

if you aren't comfy being a mod full-time and prefer some kind of co-modship, that's fine with me.

In which case I would gladly step aside.

Well, I've been named a moderator of this forum, but I have no problem being a co-moderator and look forward to talking with both of you in the future. Boomer Sooner!

Thanks,
Michael

it's not a big deal for me to be mod or anything, so no co-modship is necessary unless you need a helping hand. Like I said, no biggie.
