Chuck Amato leaving and heading to NC State

Chuck Amato was a bigtime recruiter at F$U for like 15 years and when he left he took a major pipeline to the south Florida players...

It is not the ACC but they lost a great recruiter...

They should recover over time

But my Terps are Champs to stay awhile

Our recruiting has not dropped off. Don't you remember this past spring when FSU signed Lorenzo Booker, the #1 recruit in the country, who everyone thought was going to Notre Dame? FSU is still having a top 5 recruiting year. You and I both know that a winning program will bring in the players. And national exposure.

Ya'll got a GREAT coach. <img border="0" alt="[Cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/cheers.gif" />

That was my last duty station I was there 94-96 my daughter was born there in 1995.

Nice place...

Is Booker from Southern Florida?

I was only refering to Amato's connections within the Sourthern Florida area...

Not your overall recruiting...

Like the Terps basketball team...

Losing Billy Hahn was a big blow to the system and if we ever lose Dave Dickerson we will be hurting for a little while.

It does happen to every team...

I graduated from Wheaton High School in Wheaton (Silver Spring(s), Maryland in 1967. My older sis graduated in '65. Dad was stationed at Bethesda Naval for 3 years and then got transferred to D.C. That was the 1st time we got to stay in one house for 7 years!!!

I like Chuck Amato and am thrilled that he is coaching where he wants to. I sorta live in South Florida, but if you are talking Miami, they're definitely farther south than I am. I'm on the southwest coast of Florida. The Noles recruited a kid out of Charlotte High school (Charlotte County where I live) who was touted to be one of the best wide receivers in the south. Only thing is, Dishon Platt forgot to keep his grades up and now has to sit out a year at South Florida University in Tampa. One must remember too, that with success comes kids begging to to be on your team. Isn't that happening in your basketball program. And by the way, congratulations are in order. Not only did you win the football ACC trophy, but the Terps went out and won the HUGH basketball tournament. Thank God the Noles won the Baseball tournament this year.

The ACC is the BEST I've seen it in years!!!
