I don't think there are many people who really believe that the Canes would beat an NFL team. However, those of us who have seen all the Miami games and know football to some degree can recognize that this is a great team, and that they really have no glaring weaknesses. I expect a second half domination. If the weather preditcors are correct, throwing the ball may be difficult that day. If so, who do you think is going to be able to run the ball better? My opinion is that Mcgahee, Gathers, and Payton will have a field day.

G&G, can't you think of a new reply? It seems to me that you Hurricane haters always say the same things. I said Miami was the best team in College football. This is not a pro team. I repeat this is not a pro team. But it is the best team in College Football, and more than one Cane will be playing in the NFL next season!

Tombster. Clue #1 That was the first reply I made towards you
Clue #2. Im not a Hurricane hater or a hater of any football team.
So if you want to start directing comments, know what the hell you are talking about first.
It was a joke Tombster, something you cant pick up on. I have heard numerous fans all over chat rooms and message boards talk about The Canes in the NFL and actually believing they can beat NFL teams. I can get along with anyone, any team, but you seem to be stuck up on this high horse about the Canes. Thats fine, thats your team, this is a big rivalry Saturday, but some of you are making it into WAY more than that, like we are just going to lie down for you come Saturday. WRONG. All I hear is the Noles have no chance, we shouldnt show up, on and on and on. Trust me there is more pressure on Miami then the Noles. The #1 ranking, heisman trophy candidates, 27-28 wins without a loss, at home against a rival, its alot more on you then us.

G&G...you're so right. FSU has a good chance this Saturday. NOT!!! And I did pick up on your weak sarcasm. Nice attempt. I'll give you this much, the pressure is on Miami, being the #1 team in College Football(**Note I said College Football, not Pro Football.), but the only chance FSU has is if Miami doesn't show up. Let the stats speak for themselves. Dorsey 14 TD's 5 Ints, McGahee 10 TDs, and 4 receivers have at least 3 TDs each. Miami is not a one man show. If Dorsey has a bad day they can still win. If Rix has a bad day, it's over. Louisville proved that.

Wait, FSU only lost because it was raining right? Rain or shine, Miami will prevail Saturday.

Tombster, once again you fail to recognize, I dont care. Now you want to bring up the raining is why FSU lost, well, go find any post any where that I said the rain was the cause of the loss for FSU. I dont know what the hell it is you picked up on with sarcasm, its just your way of making something into nothing. With statements like "FSU has a chance if Miami doesnt show up" shows thats all your looking for, just to make alot of bull**** out of nothing. Like I said before, there is no pressure on the Noles at all for this game, and its showing with 'certain cane' fans, who want to make it into something. No one is expecting the Noles to win, everyone is picking the Canes in romp, you see but thats not good enough for you Tombster. You again are making alot out of nothing, and again, dont turn this around into "I picked up on your weak sarcasm" bull**** either. Matter of fact anyone who takes 8 minutes to make another post and start with the word 'Wait' makes me wonder, it takes you 8 minutes to come up with something else useless that no one cares about? You couldnt fit all that into your previous post?

G&G...are you the only person to have made a post in this forum? Hmm...I dont think so. But you obviously think that everything I say here is directed toward you. You seem a little uptight. You shouldn't watch the game this week. It could upset you even more than you already appear to be.

Tombster, im not upset about anything, but you seem to have a way of bringing up something and making it more then what it actually is. If you start a post off with G&G, just who else is it directed at? You still bring up everything pertaining to the game Saturday, now its I shouldnt watch it?? Im not the one wrapped up in all then hype. Its a rivalry I have watched for many years, win or lose

out! The UM "bandwagoners"...can't tell you
much of history, because Miami wasn't their
favorite team two years ago. The big question
remains..."Who will be their favorite team after
Saturday?"

Many people ignore facts! The Cuban Canes are
famous for it.

Rain??? Did you lose because of the rain? Listen
Fidel, taht wasn't rain. 5 inches fell during
that contest. It was the equalizer.

But what the hell...just keep thinking like you do. Hopefully, your team is thinking the same
way. Actually, they ARE thinking the same way.

Enjoy thaT 27 game win streak. It only has 4

Noles 38 Miami 27!

And...Attention...

After the game...Will the last American leaving
Miami..."Please Bring the Flag!"

Hornsounder, I respect your opinions and comments, just as I do Pauls and everyone else here. The only thing I would have a problem with is Notre Dame and Penn State. Who ever plays those teams, Im their biggest fan. Oklahoma runs a close third to them also. Even if the Gators played those teams I would yell GOOOO GATOOORS!! Anyway FSU/Miami is with out a doubt the biggest rivalry out there, pair up any other two teams and it doesnt come close. JOKElahoma/TexASS on the same day, and look at where College Gameday is going, out there to Texas. Have fun ESPN. You just couldnt take the heat of the rivalry in south Florida so you had to wuss your way out and go to Texas. FSU/Miami... it doesnt get any better!!

Encouragement for FSU players and fans:
Last year Miami scored 49 points against FSU. This amounted to the most points scored by UM against them ever.
Willis Mcgahee ran for 204 yards against Florida, and has run for more than 130 yards in every game since. Keep in mind that he

G&G, I have no problem with Paul's posts, but there is no need to attack ethnicity. We have enough to deal with without having strife among Americans, no matter where we come from. We already know that Lee Corso isn't exactly all there, after he picked Fla over Miami, and then called Willis McGahee, Willis Mghee three times this past Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised if he picks Florida to beat you guys too. I am surprised however that they chose to go to the Texas game instead of ours. You are so right, there is no better rivalry than ours. There will not be another game this season that will include more talent than will be on the OB grass at 12pm. But whatever, that's their issue, not ours.

Good luck on Sat!

Paul...nevermind, you're not worth my time.

G&G...you're right, my posts were addressed to you. I'll seperate my comments like this to clear things up for you. Oh and one more thing...FSU still sucks!

All FSU fans....excuses...excuses for losing to Louisville. The stats in that game were almost identical. Yet a costly turnover by Rix is what really cost you the game, not the rain. Accept it!!!!

Miami isn't taking this game lightly. The Canes and Cane fans look forward to this game as much as you Noles do. It's just that the last 2 years (3 including this year) we've had a little more to cheer about!

GO CANES!!!

Rocket, Nice article! I'm going to post the part about the difference in rivalries on the UF page. That way that can see that its not just the UM and FSU fans that think that they're a bunch of jerks...hehe. Leave it to me to kick the ant-pile. In this case, the dung pile!

I'll post regardless of the outcome of the game. The outcome will just determine how I post.
You should be worried more about the game than whether I'll post if FSU pulls the upset. The Clemson game was closer than the final score, and of course there is always Louisville. Miami is much better than those 2 schools. And as I've stated before Miami isn't a one man show, Dorsey can have a bad day (see Boston College 2001) and the Canes can still win. Rix has a bad day, and FSU loses. Louisville showed the nation that.
