just wanted to use the baseball icon....and to say that the expos are easily the senators match in terms of futility so it should be a good fit for DC!!!

I do not for a minute believe they did not bet on baseball. If they bet sports, they bet baseball. Do you really think that Vincent would have allowed baseball to be tarnished by admitting the umps had bet on games? They may have been unable to find evidence, or so they say, but I honestly believe the umps bet on baseball. It was, at times, the only game in town....
