Unless someone gets a huge lead, there's no real need for updates on a basketball game until the final quarter.

And this one will definitely be close down 'til the end....

Bah, the lakers won it all... They'll stomp the nets, and win a 3rd title... outstanding.

Who cares anymore?

(Obviously not Shaq or many of the Lakers, who walk around as if a title is expected.)

I'm so tired of the "we're happy with the Western Conference title, but this is not the trophy we are after" beat. No, really? Please, don't show any emotion -- we might mistake you for being "too happy" about winning a non-Finals game.

For once, I'd like to see some superstars get hype about a game like one of last night's importance. Well, if they don't care -- then I don't either....

By the way, did anyone see NBC's Jim Grey before the intial post-game interview (seconds after the game ended) push another reporter's microphone -- who was clearly there first -- out of the player's face, as if to say "we are NBC... what do you think you are doing?"

Then, he proceded to go into the Lakers' locker room and catch players coming out of the shower, shoving a mike into their face before they had even put on a shirt and/or dried themselves off from the shower.

What a jerk!
