I'm hoping General Wesley Clark from Arkansas will enter the race, but he may be too late already. Just looking at how much money the other candidates have, Clark should have entered the race eariler if he wanted to win.
Howard Dean is my choice if Clark doesnt enter, so for now I'm happy to see his progress.
The internet has truly changed the way campaigns are run, and that is evident in Deans fundraising success.

The only way the Dems have a real shot at beating Bush is to get a more centrist candidate to run.
Dean, Kerry, Kucinich, and Edwards are WAY too far to the left to stand a chance.
The only candidate with a prayer..that's in the group now..is Lieberman, and I think he lacks the charisma to win. He's too sad whenever he speaks.

You're telling me Edwards is too liberal?
Holy cow, it doesn't take much to be "left of center" nowadays.

Edwards is a trial lawyer who's being funded by fellow trial lawyers..aka the people that LOVE tort cases so they can make a fortune off of one so-called victim.
Yes, Edwards might say centrist, but his actions speak louder...left

It's nice of the media to try to paint Dean as a liberal so early in his campaign. He doesn't like the term liberal, and by most accounts he isn't. He's a fiscal conservative, promoting a balanced budget. He opposes Bush's tax cuts because they created deficits, not because he hates rich people and doesn't want them to have money. He's also opposed to gun control and he just recently switched his position and came out in favor of the death penalty in some cases.
The thing is, the media sees a Democrat shouting, and getting mad, and speaking out strongly for what he believes in, being outspoken, and they mistake that for liberalism. They're just so used to seeing ******-whipped Democrats like Gore and Gephardt and Daschle that Dean confuses them.
I can't vote in the primaries since I'm a registered Green, but I will vote in the general election if he gets nominated. He's the best candidate the Democrats have seen in a while, they just don't know what to think of him.

The sad part is Dean is a good candidate, but not left enough to get the nod.

That's the weird thing about Dean. He's tapped into this granola Nader sort of crowd. He has groups of them all over the country, ready to take a grenade for him. Some of the most nontraditional left activists seem to be in Dean's camp.
But he isn't as liberal as he seems to some people. Yes, he against going to Iraq. But look at his position on guns.
I like the guy. Maybe the Internet has matured to the ponit where he can pull off the sort of outsider challenge that fell short for Jerry Brown.

As earlier in this thread, I'm starting to agree with calling_the_hogs about Edwards -- unfortunatley, as the most liberal candidate in the field, he spouts off nothing but rhetoric, is more anti-bush then anything else, and can't go 2 minutes without mentioning his poor parents and dad who worked in a mill 10 hours a day to support them or something like that.

I pay no attention to Edwards's talk... just his past as a trial lawyer. Once you see em in that lobby group...that's a solid far left... they don't like ANYONE (conservative dems and GOPs), that stand for any sort of tort reform.
As for Dean, the war pushed em to the left, but the gay marriages and not letting Wal-Mart in his state for years....that's what pushed him to the far left. His record will hurt him

Yeah, but there are alot of reasons to not shop at wal-mart -- if anyone's interested in seeing them, just PM me.

Everyone: Keep buying from Wal-Mart. It will make your life better.
Or maybe just mine, since the Waltons gave 300 million to the University of Arkansas for its Honors College. Anyway, keep buying.
As for the nomination, please, oh please, Draft Wesley Clark

I can see Wesley Clark as a VP to someone like John Kerry -- that'd win an election, for sure

But he also doesn't have any pesky voting record on his back, that could work in his favor.

I hate to tell the "All-Knowing Bigolhawg" this, but Clark got his entire division killed in a mock-up operation in Germany about 7 years ago. Great leader. I guess Graf is a *****.

RebelKev, that's why he isn't campaigning for General... sorry, but military leadership doesn't necessarily correlate with political leadership.
