I just got back from the Bull City tournament, the 3-3 tourney at Cameron. David Noel was playing there, so I checked him out. Not to add insult to injury, but this guy needs some serious work. He has mad potential, and mad athleticism, but not very many skills. If Doherty works with him, he could be the next Stackhouse, but right now he needs some work. Hope he pans out well for you guys!
BTW, hoops13 and my team finished second and got a nifty Nike watch!

There is no "insult"...and quite frankly there is no injury, as UNC is loaded at the two/three spot for next year...
Thanks for your concern, though...

Rick, the regular season does matter. So does the postseason. Too bad you didn't have one.
Remember, it's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought of as a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

Hey Nate, good thing you were not standing in front of me when you said that because you would be on your ass, ya wise ass little f@#$. The whole point of the basketball season is to win the National Championship. Anything less is a failure. Your dukies lost before they could win it. End of story.

Violence is not the answer.
BTW, your logic of conidering a season a success or a failure is ludicrous. Check this out, Mr. Logic...
8 < 31
20 > 4
Duke won all 3 games head to head
Duke won the ACC tournament
Duke MADE IT to the NCAA
Carolina fans try to twist anything their way.

Nate, this is the last time I am going to bother with you. Answer this riddle---What do you think Rat Face told his girls was the ultimate goal of this past year and every other year???? The NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!! dook did not reach that goal!!!! Thus, the season was a failure. Sure it was a good year. Sure it was better than Carolina's, much better. But BOTH TEAMS lost their last game. Thus, they both failed.
I just hope you have more sense in dealing with people face to face or you will get some ass kickings. Violence is not the answer, but being a smart ass is not either. Open that mouth around the right folks, and you will find out. Trust me.

Oh, I talk a whole bunch of ****, around people much, much bigger than me. Don't worry though, no one ever has, nor probably will, made any physical threat at me.
BTW, by your logic, I guess 326 teams season's were failures.
Also, Coach K will not tell the team that this year was a failure. Too many great accomplishments this year for it to be a failure.

BTW, it's kind of funny that UNC fans' main criticism of Coach K is something he can't even control ("rat face").

i will agree though that programs traditionally like duke and carolina have missions every year to win it all. i will not agree though thats its a failure if they dont.

My thoughts exactly. Well said!

One thing on which I will agree with Nate: I will take dook's "failure" season over ours anyday....

i dont mean to interupt but is Noel better at bbal or football? what will he choose? or will he be like peppers/curry and do both? and i would like to hear your opinions on that situation, playing two sports.. is it good for the team or does it hurt the team in the long run?

As I understand it, he will only be playing basketball.

And, to answer your other question, I think both Bunting and Doherty would rather have their players focus only on one sport. That might be the only thing they agree on -- but, it would take another Julius Peppers to change their minds, I believe.
