Quote:and yet he still served his country.
Sure he did. He skipped a 19 month waiting list to get in the Texas National Guard and scored the absolute bare minimum on the pilot's test. Somehow, he still got in. Unfortunately, it appears that his personal ambitions far outstripped his dedication to duty as he went AWOL for several months and then got an early out instead of transferring to a new unit in Mass.
BTW, Rotten and The Onion are two of my favorite web sites.

Typical unsubstantiated BS from the left. Good job. Good to see you have links to back up your assertion.

Someone want to remind me again about the service record of Dick "never met a deferrment I didn't like" Cheney, Dennis "bad knees" Hastert, Saxby "I had bad knees during Vietnam but now I like to run" Chambliss, and, of course, Rush "anal cyst" Limbaugh?

Wanna tell me why it's ok to talk about the personal lives of conservatives but liberals are off limits?
Also, as much as I respect those who serve this country in the military, having served does not give one's opinion more credence.

That bio is hilarious, or at least it would be if it weren't so sad.
I have to acknowledge, however, that for the past week or so, I feel like I must have awakened into a parallel universe. Dubyah warmly welcomes Bill and Hilary back into the White House yesterday, makes nice at the Reagan funeral, avoids any international incidents at the G-8 and cheers a UN decision. By God, he's started to act like a president! Good thing he stayed obstinate and unreasonable on that stem cell decision yesterday, or I might have wondered if someone wasn't doing a remake of that movie, "Dave."

But feel free to poo-poo these while also suggesting that the Clintons killed Vince Foster.

I didn't bring up those Republican heros (sic) until Kev called Clinton a draft dodger. When it comes to serving in the military, the Republicans have nothing up on the Democrats at all. Besides, it's not a "personal attack" to bring up the fact that Dick Cheney got one deferrment after another until he was too old to be drafted, Hastert and Chambliss got out of military service by claiming they had bad knees and Rush Limbaugh got out of military service by saying he had a debilitating anal cyst.

We're seen everything under the sun said about Bill Clinton, and now John Kerry is the "Prince of Ketchup" and a gold digger. How exactly does this make cons morally superior here?

Bush has the power to clear the air.
All he has to say is this: "I've never done cocaine."
See? Easy.

A liberal didn't inject the word "inhale" into this thread.
