tell me what you think of this partisan prick:
Quote:Rep. Jim McDermott (search), D-Wash., told a Seattle radio station Monday the U.S. military could have found Saddam "a long time ago if they wanted." Asked if he thought the weekend capture was timed to help Bush, McDermott chuckled and said: "Yeah. Oh, yeah."

It's funny you bring that up, Kev!
Sunday morning, after the Saddam capture was fully sinking in, the next thought I had was that it would be a matter of weeks til they find Osama. You know, since he and Saddam were so tight, the U.S. interrogators will get to work on him and he'll give up Osama. We'll get him too. Then I thought that it would be a matter of time before the next thing I see on the news is all the WMD's. I mean, they've got Saddam so he'll cave and give up the weapons too.
I figured the GOPpers would time this out so that good news reaches the electorate each week or month leading up to November 2004.
One thing about recent presidential administrations and that is everything is staged. When Bush landed in Jackson back in September, I was on the tarmac all morning. It was just me and the other scum sucking liberal press representatives out there. Once Air Force one started its approach, they brought out all these supporters to corrall them along some barricades. At that point WLBT and the ABC affiliate panned their cameras to the crowd as if they'd been there all along. Actually, they were kickin' it in some cafeteria until the security guys callled for them.
Three hours later, after Bush gave his speech in support of Haley, the whole process was repeated.
Staged, that effectively demonstrates the power of the prez!
For all we know, they could have had Saddam for weeks now. I would not put it past Bush to delay news such as this. I wouldn't put it past any chief exec. to delay photo ops until the right political moment. That is the nature of American "democracy" and you gotta love capitalism!

Dio, it is SOP for presidents, Repub and otherwise, to get their local soviets to get a crowd present to cheer wildly when the pilot of the plane carrying their precious one lands it successfully. In fact, this bull**** you mention is even done when wannabees get their campaign planes lso anded. I don't defend the practice, but to accuse George III of doing something that the Bolsheviks don't do is so. . . . Democrat.
And if we are to become cynical about these things, then let's please remember how the Democrat members of congress (that's MC to you, bud) made a pep rally spectacle of themselves when Billy Clinnon was impeached. Do you know, I felt every one of those pathetic creatures would have given Billy Clinnon a BJ on the spot. But seriously, they brought to my mind the shameful actions of members of the Roman Senate, who gave glory and thanks to Caligula and then to Nero. These "Americans", these "Senators", were the Clinnon running dogs. They were not worthy of their offices or titles by those actions.
After that shameful spectacle, you think the actions of the local Repub party is something to talk about?

Wry, I thought I was clear when I stated "One thing about recent presidential administrations and that is everything is staged." I guess I wasn't but I do know that all politicians stage events. Read my earlier post on another thread about how politicians need the scum sucking liberal press (and the press needs them).
Oh well, I am on the record now though stating that all politicians SUCK!!!!
I know that Dems do the same things, but Bush and his administration has been outed on the staging. Remember the boxes that said, "made in China" a couple of years back?
