To all those who said tax cuts wouldn't work in this country, take a look at this country.

Take a look at all the improving economic data in this country.

Take a look at Americans. They're spending more.

Take a look at their bosses. They're buying more.

They're doing more, because they're keeping more of their money.

Government programs didn't do that. Tax cuts did that. Because contrary to critics at the time, the tax cuts didn't wreck the economy. They boosted the economy. Big time.

When people have more of their money, they spend more of their money.

It's why retail sales are up. Why car sales are strong. And why even jobs are coming back.

When people buy things, the companies that make the things need to make more of those things. Then they need more people to make more of those things. About 328,000 more people, to be exact. That's how many jobs have been added to the economy in just the last four months.

Bureaucrats didn't get that ball rolling. We did, with our money, our dreams and our hopes.

You can't tax your way out of a recession. But you can tax-cut your way into a recovery. That's what we're doing now, because of the tax cuts we're still enjoying now.

Those who opposed these cuts said that wouldn't happen. They said that the economy wouldn't budge and that people wouldn't spend.

Well, the economy is budging and people are spending.

And do you want to know the kicker? Even Uncle Sam is getting more money.

Revenue projections to the federal government were revised up Friday. That's right, up.

And all because the economy's improving more and people are buying more and working more, so the money is trickling in more.

Outstanding actually, since I kept out of Int'l funds, and stuck to the Large Cap Value Fund. I'll take a nice 8.7% growth rate any time over the 4% gov't rate.

No, I'm not the only one...all it takes is a little research.

Heck, the Dow's over 10k, the economy's on a big upswing... I think it wouldn't be THAT hard.

Just to help you.... stick to Value Cap funds, stay away from the European Markets. Nothing to it

Nope, cause you do what anyone normal does. You stop putting money into a 401(k) when stocks are down, and move to bonds and add more into a Roth IRA. OR, when stocks are going down, you move your 401(k) money into government funds, which give you 4% growth regardless every year.

Do you know ANYTHING about finance? I'm in financial mgmt., maybe I can teach you libbies a few things besides buy low, sell high. I can also state why Keysenian economic policies do not work, but hey, take a look at the Soviet Union or Cuba to figure out that one.

No kidding Kev.... it really doesn't take a complex mind to figure out easy, simple ways to stay in the black financially.

Libs just want handouts...I say be a man and figure out your own path to succeed.

Calling the Hogs is living proof of why Social Security (a Ponzi scheme) should be mostly privatized.

When you can't make an actual point debating someone, make up something and claim they said it and go from there, eh?

Geniuses, one and all.

What's to debate? Sometimes a short statement speaks volumes.

And sometimes making stuff up and ascribing it to someone else is the only way to appear to have a point at all.

Anyone can read into your post what you are wanting.....the government to hold your hand and assume all responsibility for your actions. It is your responsibility to manage your 401K and you are probably one of the ones that thinks the economy, when it WAS bad, was the fault of GW Bush.....not 9/11, corporate scandal, and the I.T. bubble burst.

Wow, is that what you actually meant, Odd?

I would have never guessed it based on what you actually said.

Fortunately, the little Nazi man is here to read between the lines!

Yeah...every life advantage.

Busting tail to get a scholarship, then working from day 1 of my freshman year to pay the rest of my tuition/room/books/food on my own....spending my 4 yrs either working or studying. Yeah, I had all the advantages handed to me on a silver platter.

Nope, I worked to get where I am, and I'm a better man for doing it. The only advantages I had was not going the typical libbie route and using gov't funds to get in debt, having 2 kids, getting arrested a couple of times, dropping out for a period. etc. My advantage was common sense and getting a degree in finance..which has led me to making $$$, not falling deeper in debt.
