The Cowboys picked up Drew Henson today...

They only had to give up a third rounder in this years draft and they signed him to an 8 year deal. If he pans out this could turn out to be a huge trade for the Cowboys...the EAGLES will still give them a beat down atleast twice a year though... 03-nutkick

I would have liked a second round pick, but since the Dolphins got Feely and they were the main buyers, a third round pick was all they were going to get.

This is a great trade for the Cowboys, I think Henson will be a top seven quarterback in two years.

We'll see. I sure hope you are right. He has to be better than Quincy....doesn't he?

IMO, he will be much better than Quincy. They should play him next year too, Henson that is. We know nothing though until he steps onto the field. He can throw the ball as long as he wants to in practice, the question is how he will react to not playing in a real game in like three years. I think he will be excellent though. After all, he was a Yankee. 03-wink

I think Henson will get every opportunity to start. Quincy will probably get the nod early but the sooner Henson starts playing the better the Cowboys will be in the long run.

The #1 thing that will help Henson will be if Dallas is able to get a solid RB. If Dallas can produce a solid running game it will help there QB alot. If they have to rely on Henson or Carter to win games for them they are in trouble.

There will be plenty of quality backs in the draft. Corey Dillon is still out there but I don't know if he would disrupt team chemistry.

Yea, if I were Dallas, I would go with a Steven Jackson or Chris Perry in the draft.
