I disagree in one sense. The Republican party's heritage is to get out of the way of the middle class (and every other class) helping themselves and others. The problem is that some Republicans (RINOs) have either forgotten this or never subscribed to the precept.

Wrong. Wealth is not taxed, just income. Next?

Oh, and tax cuts benefit all. Poor people do not create jobs. The tax cuts also helped me.....but we've been over this several times and you're just determined to think that the tax cuts are just for the rich.
Think that income and not wealth is taxed here? Well, Billy Clinnon's tax increase included a retroactive tax on income. Now what was that but a tax on accumulated wealth?

The fact of the matter is that there is absolutely no limitation on the taxation power of the federal goverment. All it has to do is say that its taxes are "retroactive" on income earned in past years, and so, voila, it is not a tax on wealth. All it has to do is change the label, and the federal judges, who are paid from taxes, will uphold them without blinking an eye.

We need a constitutional amendment setting out in hard and universal terms the absolute limits of taxation
Wrong again. If you have 4 Mil in the bank, the only thing that's taxed is the interest on the money and your income. As I said, wealth isn't taxed.
