Okay. I got a crazy idea while listening to VCPR last night.

Wife swapping may be passe, but have you ever considered ideology swapping?

It's kinda like a key party without the sloppy seconds.

Real simple to do. How about we all post sites, blogs and radio stations we regularly hear and love? Then, after we get some information up about these sites, the righties will take the Left and the lefties will take the Right.

For like a week or so, the only talk radio the Cons listen to is liberal talk radio. And vice-versa, of course. The only reading material you read is that for which you have no predilection.

Then, we'll report back any revelations/amusements/complaints/compliments about those wacky ___________.

I'll go first.

The first two sites I check when I log in are <a href='http://www.liberaloasis.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.liberaloasis.com/</a> and <a href='http://www.buzzflash.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.buzzflash.com/</a> .

I also regularly find good information on <a href='http://www.nationmaster.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.nationmaster.com/</a> (a current events encyclopedia of sorts), <a href='http://www.workingforchange.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.workingforchange.com/</a> and <a href='http://www.commondreams.org/' target='_blank'>http://www.commondreams.org/</a> .

I listen to Thom Hartmann mostly on the radio, but he's also at http://www.radiopower.org or http://www.thomhartmann.com .

Other good ones at radiopower.org include Tony Trupiano, Mark Levine and Peter Werbe.

Randi Rhodes (not the guitarist) is about the best host Air America has landed. She's at <a href='http://www.therandirhodesshow.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.therandirhodesshow.com/</a> .

Next.

Hey JBR...Mark Levine?...I know a Mark Levin on the radio, <a href='http://www.wabcradio.com/showdj.asp?DJID=12009' target='_blank'>He is this guy right here!</a> I really doubt he is your cup of tea though; however, the time he filled in for Hannity and did the liberal hannity show was hilarious!

Well, there's Mark Levine and then there's Mark Levin. And never the twain shall meet.

But yeah, that's kind of what I'm proposing. You take Levine for a week, and I'll take Levin.

<a href='http://www.radioinsidescoop.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.radioinsidescoop.com/</a> (Levine's website)

And, look, here's a picture of Levin! Wow! He looks great in tights!

On this same line...we can discuss political issues (not Bush did this or that) using our opinions and knowledge.

Say one day we have the topic of Wellfare, then the next we could discuss Free trade, Using our own thoughts and ideas and not something some pundit has published. Heck, we would probably come up with better ideas than those of the partisan politicos.

Look at issues, discuss them, and come up with solutions/fixes.
