I'd just like to hear, in your own words, why YOU are planning to vote for George W. Bush.
(and let's all try really hard to keep this as civil as possible)

Considering I cant vote I will try to persuade all of you to vote for Bush I guess...Considering we had a major terrorist attack almost 3 years ago our economy is doing pretty good...Remember the DJI was over 11,000 a few months before the attacks. Then th market came crashing down to about 8,200...Now look at the steady increase in the DJI
i will give someother reasons later

I'm voting for Bush for several reasons, listed below:
1. Bush is a winner, he is going to win and I like most right-thinking Americans want to be part of a winning team.
2. Bush is straightforward, he thinks in simple dichotomies like I do. You're either a part of the problem, or part of the solution, there is no neutral ground.
3. Bush likes to kick arse and ask questions later and I'm alot like that too. When my wife is five minutes late, I just whip the too-total crap outta her and that fixes the situation.
4. If you don't vote for Bush then that pinko, commie librul Kerry might win and he'll force ketchup down our collective throats. He'll raise death chambers in which political prisoners will be drowned in ketchup and I don't want my kids to have to live in that kind of a world.
5. If I don't vote for Bush then God will condemn me to Hell.
6. Monkeys are people too!
7. With Bush in term 2, look for all our enemies to disappear. It will certainly be nice to visit the Holy Land in 2006 without all those durn foreigners running around.
8. I like Bush, I ain't no durn homosexual like that Kerry. He's going to make men marry other men and women marry other women and that just ain't naturul.
9. I'm voting for Bush because I'm CEO of a large corporation and in the past three years, I've made money hand-over-fist.
10. I'm voting for Bush because I'm a money-grubbing, simple-minded, immoral bastard and if'n you don't like it then you can git out! :roflol:

I know voting is important, and I'll do my part come November.
But what I prefer doing is supporting grassroots civil/economic liberty think-tanks like the Cato Institute, including financially, in their scholars' continuance of influencing policy and public opinion.

Ah, yes. The Cato Institute, that "libertarian" group that advocates one of the few successful government programs return to private largesse (and dysfunction). Usually mentioned in the same breath with other well-known conservative think tanks (where the nonexistent RWAM's talking points are born, right?):
the Heritage Foundation, which has an annual operating budget of around $30 million, states its mission unambiguously: “To formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.

JoeBR, where did you copy n' paste those first few paragraphs from? They're all over the place, spinning from one direction to another.
So... are we going to discuss the issues the think-tank advocates, or just make broad-brush assumptions about Pinera's past without knowing the facts? If there's a link (erm, a semi-mainstream one, please) that details any and all of Pinera's actions under Pinochet, I'd like to read them. Yes, my opinion of the man may change. However, I'll still enjoy the ideals put forth by Cato's scholars (and Ludwig von Mises) - free markets, individual freedom, avoiding foreign adventurism - despite what you dig up on Pinera.

Considering the Cato Institute was on record as being against the Iraq War and against the War on Drugs, I'm not sure how much you can lump them 'in the same breath' with prominent social conservative and Republican think-tanks.

There are plenty of places to get a job. Go to Yahoo and look under jobs, heel you could run a Taco Bell, but that probally isnt the job your looking for.

Sorry, Mo. I was pressed for time. I'll answer your post in a more coherent fashion after class.
