Before we get to the real list, I'd like to put out some of those tunes which made the Honourable Mention category:
Tomorrow Never Knows- Beatles. I'm still not sure that this shouldn't be on the list, along with every other song from the
Revolver album. Hmm, maybe it's time to say "good-bye" to Aldo Nova.
Bad Medicine- Bon Jovi. About the only thing Classic Rock stations get right is not playing these schmucks. Still I always liked this ditty.
You're So Vain- Carly Simon. Is it Classical Rock if Mick is doing the back up vocals? I probably think this song is about me.
Blue Suede Shoes-Carl Perkins
King of the Road- Roger Miller. Would it be so bad to play these instead of ELP some time???
Princes of the Universe- Queen. The first 90 seconds of this tune totally kicks *****, which is why they use it for the Highlander series. But Freddie must have caught some virus that rotted his brain b/c this goes south quickly. Too bad.
I Think She Likes Me- Treat Her Right. I used to hear this on the Toledo Classical Rock station. You'd think a little variety would be welcomed. Oh well, in the land of radio progam directors the man with one synapse is king.
Eat It- Weird Al Yankovick. First plank in my presidential platform- Weird Al for Poet Laureate. Brilliant.
Living on Tulsa Time- Eric Clapton. This is why Napster should be legal. I heard this once on KSLX, and I don't even think there is an official release of this song. But, it was a great tune (I think). I think it may now be available on the internet (not well known) so it's worth checking out.
Sorry, but your limited fame is up. It's now time to resume the official list.
And we start off with
420 My Wife - The Who <- Entwhistle on lyrics. We miss you John.
419 Money - Pink Floyd
418 All She Wants to Do is Dance - Don Henley

416 Take the Long Way Home - Supertramp <- Some question whether these guys would make the cut.
415 Taxman - Beatles
414 Against All Odds - Phil Collins <- Face it, there are plenty of ballads on this type of list. This one is better than most.
