I'd just like to pause and pour salt in the wounds of some more bands that didn't make the list.

Lou Reed.
Velvet Underground. <- I don't want to hear about it.
REO Speedwagon.
Survivor.
Elton John. (Did I mention he sucks?)
Joe Satriani.
Stevie Winwood.
Stevie Nicks (solo).
Steve Perry.

But, on to the important stuff...

380 Satisfaction Guaranteed - The Firm <- Robert Plant's big break.
379 Jet Airliner - Steve Miller
378 You Got Another Think Coming - Judas Priest
377 The Fly - U2
376 Fat Bottom Girls - Queen
375 Squeeze Box - The Who
374 I Miss You - Rolling Stones <- What I've always wondered is: did the folks with D.R.E.A.D. cards burn this record too? Because here's a little secret: IT'S DISCO!
373 Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band - Beatles
372 Radar Love - Golden Earring<- The Dutch can rock
371 Dixie Chicken - Little Feat
370 Roxanne - Police
369 One of these Nights - The Eagles
368 Romeo and Juliet - Dire Straits
367 Fire - Bruce Springsteen
366 Magic Bus - The Who
365 Legs - ZZ Top
364 Psycho Killer - Talking Heads
363 Jeepster - T-Rex<- What can I say. I was always a mark for Glam Rock
362 Band on the Run - Paul McCartney and Wings
361 Help - Beatles

No help needed here. We're moving along and the songs just get better...as promised.

Joe Satriani nixed? LAME. Surfing With The Alien is a masterpiece.

Nice
VERY nice 04-rock

I hearby boycott the Boss -- because he just flat out blows yet you seem to enjoy him thoroughly.

OK on the Winwood, unless you also ditch the Spencer Davis group and "Gimme Some Lovin'" which would be a crime.

Steve Miller? Yuck.
Jet Airliner? Multi-yuck. Horrible pop dreck and pale imitation of rock n roll.

Little Feat--now you are getting somewhere. On the whole, a good batch o' songs, minus the aforementioned pandering sellout Steve Miller.

Did I mention I don't like Steve Miller or his Band?

My Quality Control guy (this bona fide Dead Head who works on-site) whiffed on this one. Guess you'll have to "Roll with it", and wait until next year to get Spencer Davis group to replace "Cover Me" or some other muck.

I'm going to give him grief right now for overlooking this.

You probably don't like "Abracadabra" either.

Don't mistake "technically proficient" with "sublime".

Satriana operates the guitar very well, but he doesn't make great art.

There is no excuse for any muck, is there?

Not that this is your intent, but purposely leaving Steve Winwood and his bands over the years off the list is a crime in several states. Traffic was a tremendous band. I can leave Winwood's newer stuff, but he was a prodigy.

Lou Reed/VU off the list automatically? Some of their stuff is definitely heroin-induced drivel, but Take a Walk on the Wild Side is a great tune.

Your Deadhead friend fell into the Bay Area trap by letting Jet Airliner on that list! His credentials are hereby on probation.
