Except for late season trips to Miami and NIU!
NIU :snore: When was the last time they beat Toledo? 1980 something.
When was the last time Toledo went undefeated?
1995

And the last time we only lost one game was 2000.

How about NIU?
Point being, it's been a while. History will have to be damned if you'll do it again. Much like the role history will play when UT plays in DeKalb on November 10th.

How many schools even have 4 undefeated seasons in the last 45 years? It is very hard to go undefeated. That said, Toledo did it in 1995 and came close in 2000 so they can certainly do it again in 2004. Don't forget, we have the most explosive offense we have ever had.

You don't seem to understand the tradition at Toledo.

Toledo was the first MAC school to have a player finish in the Top 10 of the Heisman voting back in 1971. We did it again in 1975. Our QB from 1975 was the career NCAA passing yards leader at the end of his career (over 8000 yards). We hold the 2nd longest winning streak eve in Division I and the best ever by a MAC school. We are the only school in the modern era of college football to have 3 straight undefeated seasons. We are the only MAC school to lead the nation in total defense 3 years in a row.....Oklahoma is the only other team in the country to do that. We hold the NCAA record for least amount of rushing yards given up in a game when we held Northern Illinois to -109 yards....that's right minus 109 yards in a game back in 1967. We have won 9 MAC Championships since 1967, more than any other MAC school. We have also had 10 straight winning seasons.

These are all reasons why Toledo can go undefeated this year. You see, with this kind of tradition there is a difference between schools like Toledo and NIU. We expect to go undefeated and win the MAC Championship. Anything less will be a disappointment. 03-wink

You were doing alright up until then, but Louisville's defense couldn't stop my grandma from walking across the street.
