I don't think so. There are at least three teams in the West that are better.

Supposedly there were 5 or 6 teams in the West better than the Pistons last year so I would think if there are only two or three this year the Pistons chances are much more better this time around to win it all.

Pistons vs Minnesota Timberwolves Finals and I'll take Detroit in 6 games.

The Pistons caught the Lakers at the right time last year and took advantage. I love the Pistons, but I think that the Spurs and Wolves are well ahead of them, as well as the Mavs and Nuggets.

The Spurs are ready to take off this year, Manu will be an all-star, Tony Parker will establish himself as a top point guard, Duncan will be Duncan, and Brent Barry will make a run at the Sixth Man award. Add that to Bowen's D and I think for the first time in a while there is a clear favorite in the NBA.
