Why does the news feel the need to endorse anyone? Shouldn't they just report the news?

Your thoughts.....

I think it would be great for them to endorse a candidate. Then we could weed out the bias jackasses more rapidly.

I was nearly floored when the NYT endorsed Kerry for President. As balanced and straightforward as their news coverage is, it's hard to believe they'd support Kerry...

Who's next? CBS? ABC? CNN? Say it ain't so!!!!!!!

Bush is going to get crushed in endorsements.

Telling the truth is a nonpartisan value, and it is guiding quite a few newspapers to Kerry this year.

The Tampa Tribune -- a conservative paper -- just decided not to endorse at all. Apparently, Bush turns their stomach.

Telling the truth has never been a value of the Democratic party. Ie. Bush is the cause of the small flu shots, black people will be burned, crosses will light up, old people will lose their SS, people will walk, Bush banned Stem Cell research....when he was the FIRST to do so.....etc., etc., etc.
