8. Cut off 200 foreskins off of your future father-in-law's enemies and get his daughter for a wife.

12. Kill any husband and take HIS wife. (Prepare to lose your son though).

You missed a good one (Isaac)

Send out a servant to your distant relatives. If a woman offers to bring water for his camels, propose on the spot.

I thought it was all literally true and that you had to follow every single bit of it. Is it true that 2/3 of it is irrelevant?

A lot of the Bible is historical stories/information. It tells how people did good and bad in God's eyes. So, you can take many scriptures from the Bible and spin in any way you want.

Take King Solomon for instance...God did not want Solomon to mary so many, but Solomon, of his own free will had 700 wives and 300 concubines, which led to him falling away from God.

I would say the most overwhelmingly supportive passage for people who believe homosexuality is wrong is Genesis 1. God created man and woman. It seems that simple to me. I don't care about Leviticus 18:22 or any other civil laws thrown out there. God created man and woman for each other. Hell, sperm and egg create life. It's hard to ignore that kind of logic.

Quote:Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

The harvest.

1. He that soweth to his flesh
shall of the flesh reap
corruption...
2. He that soweth to the Spirit
shall of the Spirit reap life
everlasting.
3. What kind of harvest will you reap?
