I thought it was Diebold CEO Walden O'Dell who was 'Committed to Delivering Election to Bush.'

Quote:Commissioners expressed concerns about the power of vendors that create the equipment, pay for certification testing and have technicians play key roles in local election offices. Chairman DeForest "Buster" Soaries Jr. noted that Diebold Election Systems chief executive Walden O'Dell had pledged in a Republican fundraising letter last year that he was "committed" to delivering Ohio's electoral votes to President Bush.

Mark Radke, director of marketing for Diebold, a major provider of election equipment, testified that O'Dell regrets making the statement and no longer participates in fundraising.

Very few sources are as reputable as the Post.

Always jumping to conclusions... 05-nono

I didn't say it was fixed but merely suggested that fraud in electronic (paperless trail) voting is very possible and relatively easy and untrackable. But it wouldn't surprise me if this election was fraudulent. Happens in many other countries, so why wouldn't it happen in the US? Is it because we are at the center of morality in civilization? Unfortunately we will never know what is the truth - that's between those who run the elections and Diebold.

The quote was along the lines of "I'm committed to delivering Ohio for President Bush." He may have wrote "electoral votes" in that sentence. I forget off hand.

I have a copy of the letter, but it isn't with me right now.

O'Dell meant it in the context of raising money for Bush, but it has taken on a life of its own.

Thank you for making my point.

People are duped into thinking that they really do have a choice and that their votes really do count. What electronic voting does is eliminates the paper trail and eliminates history. Tracing something like what Daly did in 1960 today is almost impossible. Historians will not ever be able to look at hard evidence for their own research. Ignorance is bliss ain't it?

:stupid:
Last time I checked we lived in the USA, not Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union, so we can criticize our distaste in the government all that we want - including its leaders. BTW its well known that computers can be hacked and tampered with, including those that were involved with the elections. And everyone knows that computers can complicate authenticity and create a non-existent paper trail.

seems like another "reputable source" (the gospel according to libs) has weighed in. the allegations of fraud so pervasive amongst the left have been debunked. as if the truth genuinely mattered to you.

"a snowball of hearsay" indeed.
