Let's see some:
- More frugal and appropriate use of federal money. Perhaps even a budget SURPLUS dare I say.
- Privitization of Social Security
- Repeal of the Patriot Act, which has already been partially gutted as unconstitutional
- Armed forces come home after the Iraqi elections
- Action about Korea and Iran toying with nuke technology
- Advancement of the missle defense system... see above line

This libertarian is waiting Georgie.

Aren't these two mutually exclusive? No wonder elected officials grow old quickly.

I just got off the phone with him. He said that since you didn't vote for him that you can just keep waiting and he'll get to you "when he can." Thank you. Have a nice day!

Not necessarily. You'd think they'd try the small elite force method instead of the all out ground war method :)

And get blown out of the sky by any number of strike force air bases / aircraft carriers.

Sure didn't. I would have voted for him if I was in a swing state, as Pee Wee Herman is better than John Kerry. You'll find most libertarians will default to republican if it's a very close race and they're in a swing state.

Sure is, but it's kind of hard to chase down an ICBM with a F-16.

Be worried about a missile when a mule crawls right under your nose. Port Security should be the focus.

It's possible to do both...

Apparently you can accomplish terrorism by parking an SUV on commuter rail tracks.

Pretty easy and cheap.

There's no obvious, universal answer to this sort of thing.

Geiger counters at ports and every container screened to me would be a logical place to start.

Logical idea, but not practical. The Geiger counter is achievable, but at just the Port of LA, they handle 4 million inbound containers a year. Now add in Houston, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Charleston, Miami, Philly, New York etc. and you can see that it is impossible to screen every container without serious reprocussions to our economy, and the worlds economy. The dock workers in LA have less than 24 hours to unload a boat and have the containers headed out on a train.

Plus, what good would it do to screen each container when you can sneak stuff in across the vast wilderness of a border with Cananda?

Theoritical to Practical-

Missile Defense vs. Port Security. To me the greater danger is port security. An extra 15 minutes per container to be put through a giant conveyor system. To me this would be more practical and money better spent. JMHO though.
