Study Shows U.S. Election Coverage Harder on Bush

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. media coverage of last year's election was three times more likely to be negative toward President Bush than Democratic challenger John Kerry (news - web sites), according to a study released Monday.

The press is always harder on the incumbent and semi-incumbent (like Gore). This was talked about after the 2000 election that there were more negative stories about Gore as opposed to Bush.

This was talked about quite a bit after the 2000 election. They, the media, had a breakdown of the positive and negative stories for each candiadate. The bulk of the negative stories for Gore were the Chinese fund raising controversy, which seemed to control Gore's campaigne. This was a long time ago, I can't believe I still remember this. It was before 9/11 so minor things like this issue seem to be forgotton.
