But according to this thread:

<a href='http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/ncaa/invision/index.php?act=ST&f=31&t=15345' target='_blank'>http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/ncaa/invisio...ST&f=31&t=15345</a>

Bush isn't spending enough on science!

Yeah, but it's the moon! You know the moon is crazy. It makes people crazy why would you want to go to the moon? No science is ever made form going to the moon. Werewolves live near the moon, on metroids, I think. If the astronaut gets bit he'll turn into a werewolf too, and then he'll come back and vote for the master werewolf, Dick Cheney. And then we'll go to war with the werewolves and Haliburton will get all the contracts. For both the US and the werewolf sides.

Well, I'm flying to the moon,
I'll be leaving this afternoon.

By the way, I'm glad that those anti-Bush people have access to excel to make those wonderful graphs. They wouldn't be able to get their point across with out them. "Oh, so The moon thing get like a tower of money while train travel only gets a smear on the pavement? ... No Blood for Oil!"

That's not even to ask why the government should be paying Amtrak money. When moon travel is a private enterprise come back and show me the graph.

Last time I rode Amtrack they charged me money!!! Do they not do that for all the people riding Amtrack to work? Are city busses and subways now free too?
I must be missing something here but I thought the fares were supposed to cover the operating cost some how or other...

This plan to get Amtrack off subsidies has been in the works for quite a while. I'm not sure Bush is completely to blame here. Look up the whole story prior to posting, and you'll avoid egg on face. :ownd:

04-rock I know you aren't the biggest Bush fan out there, but thanks for seeing merit where it is due and distancing yourself from arguments that are meritless.

I think many, including myself, could learn something from that.

Those people over at buckfush are really bright aren't they? I mean, to go through all this trouble and even do a 3D graph to show the difference between $0 and $5,000,000,000 - for all the dumbasses reading that site, jeez.
Reading comprehension is not their strong point.
