i've never heard the name redlegs. but i have mentioned many times why i don't like them. their fans piss me off. they keep telling you how could they're going to be, and how improved this is, and how improved that is, but the fact is... they suck. and i've never liked Griffey.

I can't hate a fan base for being optimistic. They love their baseball team, and they miss the days of the Big Red Machine. I think they have some of the best fans in baseball.
FYI, the Reds old nickname was the Redlegs. I guess that's what Reds is short for. Like how the Knicks are short for Knickerbockers.

they're way beyond reson. the only good thing about them, is without 'em, we would have a few less people on this board.

What reds fans have you talked to?
Now, don't get me wrong, the typical homers say the Reds will be great year after year, but that is no worse than any other team around the country.

Not trying to start anything but before you start knocking a team, get to know a little bit about them. I think it is funny how the only thing you know about the Reds is they have Griffey, they called themselves the Big Red Machine a few years ago, and you don't like their fans.

I still have yet to see a Reds fan say they will win the division. I think most reds fans believe the team will be much better, and will be much more competitive. None that I have read have stated they will beat St. Louis. The Reds finished last year with a 76-86 record, and that was after a ton of injuries (Kearns, Junior, most of the pitchers to name a few, yet they were in first place in June). If the Reds keep healthy, I think the reds can win 85 games, which would be very competitive in the division. It would not win the division or the wild card, but would keep them in contention into September.
The thing that really makes me mad is the SF fans who think that steroids hasn't helped Barry Bonds over the past few years hit his HRs. Anybody who says that is out of touch with reality...

Cut him some slack, 1125, this kind of behavior is typical of San Francisco professional sports fans :D. Every 49ers fan I've ever met think they are gods gift to the NFL. I'd imagine that carries over to the Giants as well.

so, i didn't know that they were called the redlegs, big deal? i bet i know almost as much about this year's team as you do. i bet i also know as much about their farm system as you do. i hardly think that one little fun fact makes a difference.

i said the fans think they will compete for the division, not win it. i have talked to a few on here who have said they will compete for the division this year.

i can name their whole starting staff, their whole lineup, most of their bench, and most of their bullpen.

i agree with you. i think. the problem is, i know nothing about steroids. the baseball coaches i've talked to, say steroids don't help you hit better. but i don't know who to believe. are you an expert on steroids?

can anyone prove bonds was on steroids? there are no tests that we know of, that can prove he was on the juice.
for the record, i think he was on 'roids. but i can admit that i have no proof. he said he took flaxseed oil and used an arthritis cream. personally, i don't believe that, but you can't just say he's lying, and that's a fact.
