GTS, I think you missed a word there. It should read Dan Kolb is GOD AWFUL! 03-razz

I don't have much room to talk though, as the Reds bullpen probably sucks even worse. :bang:

God at blowing saves maybe.

yipg, I have not seen the Reds too many times this year, and I know the numbers are bad, but there's no way you guys have choked away more wins that we have. Is there?

We (Braves) seriously need to sign Danny Graves. There's still life left in his tank and if anyone can turn him around, Leo can.

Even Leo can't help someone who won't listen to him. Kolb is acting very stubborn.

leo wasn't all of those. he's more of a master with starters than relievers. that's what i was getting at. you guys would hate graves. it's a stupid move, to put it bluntly.

What about the guys I mentioned? Hammond had a 0.95 ERA in one year with Leo. 0.95! Holmes was picked up off the scrap heap and had a great year for us, and AA was awful to say the least before he came to Atlanta.

I agree with you. When a closer loses his velocity, he's worthless.

but hammond hasn't been like the other jokers. he's actually been really good since he left.

See, I think you agree with me. Those pitchers had great years under Leo, but haven't done anything since they left.

i mostly agree with you. but, as you pointed out, graves has lost his velocity. that wasn't the problem with the other guys.

Well, since I can't find the stats to back up, I don't know if the Reds really have choked away more leads than the Braves had this season, but it's got to be pretty close. It's hard to tell since we're both a bit biased on our views of how the team's performed. The Reds sure have blown its share of 3+run leads though, with the most memorable one coming at home against St. Louis when the bullpen blew a 6-run lead in the 9th. That was the seed to the releasing of one Danny Graves.

It's reported in the paper here that the Marlins are the likely candidate to land Graves, since he played in Miami in college, and McKeon was his former manager.
