I have a question about our local standings and which order they should actually be in... here they are...

3 way tie for 1st @ 7-2
4th place @ 4-3
2 way tie for 5th @ 5-4 (My team)

the rest doesn't matter, it's in the correct order...

The top 4 teams make the playoffs, and we just beat the other team in "5th" place, so we have the head to head...

My question is this, isn't the 4th place team 3.5 games out of 1st?? We are 2 games out and that would put us in a tie for 4th place and in the playoffs...

The fouth place team is 2 games back as well. So I guess it's a three-way tie for 4th???

3+1=4 divided by 2 equals 2.

Every once in a while, you'll see MLB/NBA standings like that early in the season. What they're going by is winning %, not the number of games behind. Take a look...
