It is my understanding that in an earlier speech she claimed that the Jews (not Israel, the Jews) were responsible for the war.

If a Republican said this, it would be all over the front page as "hate speech".

It has always been a source of wonderment to me that so many Jews support the left, even though many in the left despise the Jews and Israel and support the Palestinians.

Color me uneducated or whatever, but the land belongs to Israel because it was given to them after WWII and they've been bada$$ enough to hold on to it thus far.

Not that I really care either way what happens in Isreal/Palestine, but they have held on to their land thanks to the United States sharing all kinds of technology and aid with their government.

Had Isreal not received so much help from the US, I'd be interested to see whether they would have held on to it to this day.

Does that statement make any sense? That's like saying it would be interesting to see if the United States murder rate was the same if there weren't laws.

I'd say being outnumbered 100 to 1 with no technological advantage would ensure defeat. However, I am not sure what that proves.

As for Isreal being bada$$ed enough to hold on to it. Where would they be if we weren't supplying them with weapons.

So, who had the land before the Palestinians? At one point, way back when it was the property of Rome. Maybe we should give it back to the Italians, maybe we should give all of Europe back to "Rome" as well.

First of all ever since we took our knuckle draggen flea bitten arses out of caves and could throw a rock and sharpen a spear we have been fighting over land. So to answer your question how is it their land? Because they have fought several battles since 1948 and kicked their neighbors collective arses everytime.
If Mexico becomes a world power and marches back into CA,AZ,NM,TX, seizes it and holds it, then it is their land.
We know that mankind spread out over the last couple million years taking land as they went along. It belongs to nobody and whoever can control it.

What silly statements.

The land was taken from the Palestinians, who took it from the Jews, who took it from the Romans, who took it from the Jews earlier, who took it from the Caananites....yada, yada, yada, ad infinitum. Who has the rights to it historically depends on how far back you want to go. Give us a good reason why it should be 70 years and not 3000.

Likewise your argument about the financial/technological support doesn't hold water unless you want to include every country we have have helped and/or backed - a list of many dozens.

Most of the Israel/Palestinian conflict is not happening in the land Israel originally was founded in. It is happening in areas such as the Gaza Strip, The West Bank and the Golan Heights. These are all areas that Israel conquered. Though Israel has pulled out of Gaza and I believe the Golan heights it still retains control of the West Bank area. The whole problem is that nothing has been done to try to integrate the peoples, on either end.

Now if the Isrealies on their own marched in and won their land in a war that would be fine, but theygot a country handed to them on a platter and enough military support to where they did not even attempt to have a peacefule relationship with their neighbors.
