NTR - Fantastic Features
I remember a show with some dude (shivod?) that would start the show wrapping his coat around a fire and making smoke. It was kind of scary when I was young, it definetly freak my cousins out.
It seemed like it came on early in the evening at first, and then at 10:30, then 11:00, then midnight as the years went on.

Thanks for the link. At first I wanted to say it came on at 6 or 6:30, but wasn't sure. I just remember yelling to all the kids in the hood that it was nearing 6 or 6:30 and the show was about to come on. Our street would be full of kids, but once FF came on no kid could be found. It seemd like a show called Combat had the same effect, at least for the boys anyway.

That was a great show -you could still catch on ch. 6 digital tier from 5-7
up until Ch. 6 became CSS. Don't know if that channel was moved elsewhere.

Vic Morrow's son is one of the stars of NUMB3RS, he plays Don, the FBI agent. Rick Jason wrote an autobiography and was at Davis Kidd to sign it. Soon thereafter he committed suicide and his widow had all remaining copies pulled off the shelves. It had lots of detail about the making of Combat!, I'm lucky enough to have a signed copy.

It went from saturday afternoons to friday and saturday nights. A single feature on friday nights and a double feature on satuday nights. Sivad was known for some of the corniest jokes on tv. Sadly he left us in march of 2005. In it's documentry "when tv came to town" researchers for wkno found that only one bit of tape existed from the entire series. That tape was part of a commercial for come local business. I remember a personal appearance he made at the fairgrounds when 1000s of kids showed up.
