I assume you are an IC regular. I tried to get on this morning and it told me I had to register. Is it only a member site now?

Hmm. I remember somebody saying something about that a couple of days ago. I could be wrong, but I think it had something to do with football signing day -- the site always takes a big hit (especially this year with such a great class expected to sign).

If that is indeed the case, then I would guess that they'll change it back at some point.

I think it was done by TheInsiders as a whole for every board under their umbrella. So all of the ACCBoards family, TheHive, InsideCarolina, etc..were affected by the registration nonsense. Supposedly it was only supposed to last from 2/4-2/6, but I guess somebody forgot to check the calendar.

The idea behind the whole thing was for TheInsiders to be able to collect email addresses to help their advertising & advertisers and they figured the signing day period would have the highest amount of traffic. The idea of them doing this to blatantly promote potential spam was very annoying to me.

Lucy is right -- I read that on ACCboards, I believe.
