I think we can all agree that the UVA loss was just dissappointing. That said, i'm expecting UMD to come meaning business.

The upsides:

The number game is important. UVA has been having its typical "collapse". Watson has played one game since his 4 game suspension. Also, UVA has lost the last 7 games.

Maryland's coming in on a high note winning five of the last six. However, as we all know, ACC road games are tough to win this year, and i don't see how charlottesville will be any different.

Blake should stomp billet, although billet is a good baller.

Randle/watson will be a good matchup.

I think MD's depth, along with the back court will be the deciding factor.

My projection: UMD wins by 4-9.

I'm nervous about this game...UVA is a schizophrenic team, and for some reason they always seem to be "hyped" to play us. Hopefully, the revenge factor will play in our favor and MD will come out wanting to crush those stupid wahoos.

Well, i stand corrected, don't I?

I said it before and i'll say it again: If UMD can't win ONE FREAKING GAME against UVA this year, they can expect an early departure from all post season play.

I was going to leave it at this, but i'm pissed off, so i'm going to rant if you don't mind.

No. 1- Substituting Nicholas for Collins was beyond stupid.
No. 2- How do you lose to a team that was stomped by Florida state? That lost to clemson... twice?!?!
No. 3- Blake just wasn't the presence he normally is, and you could tell.
No. 4- Maryland got killed onthe boards at the beginning of the game. With their four man post rotation, this should not have happened.
No. 5- Billet was a beast tonight, where was the defense?

I know, i know... it was senior night, blah blah, blah. But they shouldn't have lost at home.

I'm just a fan, but it's getting frustrating. Whenever MD goes on a good run, they slip.

I thought that the terps were going to be a legit final four team, but i'm not so sure now. If they keep up at this pace, they won't make it to the ACC championship. They might not even make it to the sweet 16.

...But hey, anything is possible, so perhaps i'll be wrong. I hope I am.

Adding on #2 - Don't forget this is the same team that we thumped the other night. They didn't even look like they gave any effort that night. Looks like they didn't go in the tank completely after all.

#6 - I thought the shots by Blake and Nicholas at the end of OT were bad choices. I knew Drew sank the same shot last week, but it looked like they could've gotten a better look...especially when the Terps didn't need a 3.

#7 - Maybe this is only a wake-up call like the State game in the ACC tourney last year.

This game marks yet another time that Maryland's perimeter defense was just sub-par. That little runt should not have demolished the 3pt stripe like he did.

Honestly, Maryland is way too erratic to get far this year in post season play. You stomp the ACC champion (wake) at home, yet can't stop a sub-par team at best?

I am the type of fan who mentally notes everything my team does wrong and replays the game constantly in my head, only to vent to others about how the other team deserves nothing and is a piece of worthless crap. So, here is my take on the most worthless crap of them all (yes, more worthless than Duke):

Reasons why I hate UVA:

1) They have the most classless fans in the world. They knocked Juan Dixon. No one should ever knock Juan Dixon in the way they did. This make Jenibu angry.

2) Yes, I hate Duke. But here's the difference between Duke and UVA: When Duke and MD play, they often bring out the best in each other. However, when Duke plays other teams, barring some nights, they play well. UVA, on the otherhand, plays like crap against every other team in the ACC and gets hyped up to play us. I HATE THEM AND WANT TO RIP THEM INTO PIECES FOR THIS!

3) They think they own us because they beat us. But guess what- WE ARE THE BETTER FREAKING TEAM! We have an NC, you don't. We have two FFs in the past two seasons, you don't. We are the 2nd place team in the ACC, you're not. We're dancing, you're not (at least they better not be, Duke, if you don't do your job then MD (barring a UNC win) better). AND WE ARE COOLER THAN YOU ARE, JEALOUSE LOOSERS!!!!!

I find it funny how a few years ago on the Sabre, UVA fans were talking about how it was the perfect time to be a wahoo because Duke and MD were falling. This was right before we won the past 2 NCs. :rolleyes:
