I heard a rumor the other day that we might wear some new navy blue uniforms with carolina blue numbers and white trim in the ACC tournament. Kinda like how State and UMD wear black sometimes. Has anybody else heard about that? Seems tacky to me. Its almost like we would be trying to imitate Dook's black unis. :eek:

I agree -- I hope we don't do it.

Speaking of the unis, though, I have a few things that I think would make the current ones better.

1. First of all, lose that stupid logo at the v-neck. It is by no means unique (half the schools out there have it), and you can't even tell what it is anyway unless you zoom in big-time. The unis we had in 2001 were the exact same except for the v-neck logo, and I liked them much better. It really does make that much difference (for the worse).

2. Make the waistband look like it did back in the day:


3. Also, we need a return of the actual Tar Heel logo to the unis. Instead of the tiny interlocking NC at the bottom of the shorts, let's put the Tar Heel back on there. You'd have to move the argyle on the shorts up a bit to make room, but it would be worth it.

4. Make the trim at the bottom of the shorts (blue on the home jerseys and white on the away) a little bigger, and make it intersect the blue coming down the side of the shorts.

5. Take the "CAROLINA" off the back of the shorts. That just looks goofy.

There you have it -- the perfect unis, IMO. :D
