Yeah, it's a little personal -- but you don't have to share if you don't want to. I just always think it's neat to try to understand where people are coming from when they post.

That said, I'm from Charlotte, NC. I was born in Charlotte, grew up in Matthews (just outside of Charlotte), went to school in Chapel Hill, and now I live in Charlotte. I've been around, huh? 03-wink

In some ways, it doesn't matter where you're from. If you went to UNC, you always think of it as being like home.

Wayne Co., NC by way of Germany, Florida, NY, NJ, VA, PA.

Rick,
Air Force, but many of the bases were almost part of Army bases, like McGuire/Fort Dix and Pope/Bragg.

Yeah, I was at Independence from '93 to '97... although I would be going to Butler if I were in high school nowadays.

Looks like it worked out for both of us. You stole our coach, and we stole West Charlotte's coach -- and now we're both good.

The only high school football I really follow is what Independence is doing. I usually know who all the other good teams are in Charlotte every year, but that's about it.

I have seen some articles in the paper about Piedmont and how much Jester has turned it around there (weren't y'all terrible right before he came along). By the way, Jester was my weightlifting teacher for one semester.

Leak went to Florida.

When I was in school (with Jester as our coach), we were okay -- but West Charlotte was the city power. We were usually second-best behind them. Once I left, we got really good. Figures....
