UGa Bulldog fan here. I was curious to see what SEC programs you'd like to face in football. I remember the NC State-Alabama games, and the one up in Raleigh was very good! Would you guys like to play Alabama again, or go after someone different or both?

I for one would love to play Alabama again. Georiga would be a great game as well. The only regular season games against an SEC opponent I know of for sure will be a home and home series against Tennessee in a few years.
This coming season we will face Ohio State in Columbus and Texas Tech at home. Other big name non-conference teams scheduled down the road include Virginia Tech and Notre Dame.

I have a sneaky suspicion we'll be seeing Georgia in a winter game, 'fyewnowuddamean.
I'd like to play Bama again, but that's because I have family in Tuscaloosa. Georgia would be a great game with lots of pregame media hype opportunities.

If we were to play Bama again, my wife would be so happy she wouldn't know what to do with herself. Mrs. Beavis is Bama born and bread, although she now calls North Carolina home. Incidentally, within the SEC, she does have a soft spot for UGA. The only teams she really hates are Florida and Tennessee.
Oh yeah, to all you guys who have wives who don't understand the magical, almost narcotic allure of sports: ttthhhpppttthhhh!!!!!! I'm blessed enough to be married to a woman who would rather watch ESPN than lifetime (although on occasion she will watch), and would rather go to a football game, basketball game, or race than pretty much anything else. Yep, Mrs Beavis is one groovy chick. And we're going to teach Beavis Jr. the same way.

Oh, I follow very well, beowulf. BTW, that's a neat nickname there. I take it you got it from the English epic "Beowulf" ??

Agreed, Prodigal wolf. I wouldn't mind seeing my Dawgs play you guys as well. Would be a very good game. You're kinda like what we are to the state of Georgia: the state's premier football team. I've been singing you guys praises for awhile now on other boards. You're the only ACC team to beat FSU in Tally, the only ACC team to beat FSU two times in a row, and you're among the few who have the Seminoles number. That puts you in very good company, my friend.

Beowulf, I agree that UGa-NCSU would be a great game with lots of pregam media hype opportunities.

I like Maryland. I also kinda like NC State too. I've used both icons.

I would use a UGa bulldog icon if they had one here, but they don't. :frown:

DawgNBama -- Yeah, I took my alias to reflect my having an undergrad degree in English from NC State and my love of puns. Now I have a master's in economics, but 'Capitalist Wolf' just doesn't have the same ring.
UDC -- Finding out you were here was GREAT news! When Prodigal & NC Traffic told me about this site, I had to check it out. I've seen Packman97 & LRRH around, too, and some other familiar faces. This could be a good site 'pon which to rebuild our community, I think.
Beats the heck outta waitin' for someone with deep pockets and a boards addiction to start anew, thaz fo sho. :bang:

Thank goodness. I was beginning to think that you were some sort of self-important pretentious snob who was trying to impress us with your high school English Lit education. I, however, am a self-important pretentious snob.
BTW, I like your new avatar better.
