My wife, 10 month old, and myself are going to be flying to Birmingham, AL today to visit the in-laws. This will be the first time he has ever flown; any advice on how to keep him from being one of those incessantly crying babies that you'd like to throw out of the emergency hatch? And no, I'm not going to order him a Bloody Mary. 03-puke

****UPDATE****

Well, the trip's over, and Beavis Jr. did fine. On the trip from Raleigh to Charlotte, he was a little fussy, but he slept all the way from Charlotte to Birmingham. :snore: On the way back, he slept from Birmingham to Charlotte, and was a little fussy from Charlotte to Raleigh. Anyone else sense a pattern here?

1. Benadryl, or so we've been told.

2. Have your wife call my wife about when she took our infant on a flight.

Half full stomach. Favorite stuffed animal, and blanket. If you give your child Infant Advil or something like that, a half dose of that too. Good luck. When one of my sons was about 3 we were in the airport in Atlanta and he was yelling so loud you could hear him everywhere! He was yelling I AM NOT TIRED!!!!!!!!! Well, we got on the plane, he fell asleep and slept through some of the worst weather I have ever flown in. Good luck.

Lilred, actually I grew up in Charlotte; well, not Charlotte, but Indian Trail. Nobody knows where Indian Trail is, so I just go through the list of "have you heard of this town"; Charlotte, Matthews, Indian Trail. My parents still live there, too.
