USC should cake-walk through this regional. It may get a bit ugly...

Didn't get ugly last year in the regional.

We took USC to 3 games (in Columbia) and I think they ended up winning 8-7 or something like that. And they were national runners-up last year.

Ah, won't matter. Seems SEC teams that struggled going into the post-season Tourney the last few years have had incredibly strong CWS runs...(LSU usually, Bama, USC, ext...)

I don't really follow baseball, only USC when they are doing well. What is UNC's record this year? Who do you think will be favored?
GO COCKS!

I would have to think that USC would be favored. And our record is about the same as USC's, actuallly.

Believe it or not, I think UNC will come away victors in this matchup. UNC is peaking at the perfect time, they have been quietly strong all season, and I'm thinking that USC is overlooking the competitiveness of the Tarheels, leaving the Gamecocks wide open for the upset.

The close proximity of Columbia to the UNC fanbase in North Carolina should also help the Heels to have a loud following in the stands too.

Go Heels...stomp the Chickens!

USC will cakewalk through this matchup. It's already done. If someone believes that USC is over-looking UNC, well, they are either 1) uninformed or 2) just plain dumb.

I have said many times our baseball team sucked this year. Too young to compete. But since we are being specific, let's keep it on the two teams. UNC and USC.

I have little confidence in the team mainly due to its constant streakiness - the SEC tournament is a good example. We barely beat Vandy to get our only win.

I hope we stay focused on the other Carolina and not on the CWS. We are a very very streaky offensive team and it just depends on which USC team shows up. I like the matchup and it should be interesting to say the least. As for as a loud contigent of UNC fans being there I seriously doubt that. GO COCKS BEAT THE HOLES!! 04-rock

USC won game 3, 3-1 after getting spanked earlier in the day.
