hoka dont take it so personal. if you cant handle the ribbing,
you should hangout on your rivals site. there you can sit and
talk with mississippi fans and talk about how great o and mississippi
is. here we dont buy it.
and yes i believe we have improved enough to beat a mediocre
mississippi team for the 2nd stright time in oxford. its not that
big a stretch. memphis fans are not the only ones who think we
can beat you this year.
you make it sound as though the general public thinks mississippi
has an easy win in this game. thats not the case these days.
mississippi is basically a cusa team in the sec. sorry if you dont like it.

You do remember that in your last trip to Oxford you won by one touchdown against a team whose QB completed about 1/3 of his passes? I'm not saying we're great this year, but it's not like you walked into Oxford and dominated a mediocre Ole Miss team. With even an average QB, we probably win in 2004 against what was considered a great Memphis team. I seem to remember Lee Corso even picking the Tigers to go undefeated in 2004. In other words, Memphis should've walked all over us in that game, but they still didn't. This year, we at least have a QB that can complete half his passes and a RB that's had success in the past, so I expect we'll be a much tougher draw than the team you saw in 2004.

didnt say it would be easy just possible. there is a big diff.
the problem your going to have this yr is someone to catch
the passes.
this game will probably be close for years to come. both teams
have a chance to win it. i like our chances this yr. tommy thinks this
is the best team he has had since being here.

oh now you would have won in 2004 with a decent qb. whatever
that right there is a joke. tommy called that game to win. had he
needed to open it up he would have. he didnt see any reason to
take any chances. he felt he could win as long as we didnt make
a bunch of mistakes. he played the game with that in mind.
lets see before the game was played spurlock was baby vick...

Well, your guys do get up for the game against us so I would expect them to play us well each time.

We're actually probably more athletic at WR this year than we were last year. The lack of experience and the lack of PT with the current QB will make timing and route running a little rough at times, but as the season progresses, I think we'll have a solid corp of WRs. Of course, that doesn't matter to you, since all you are really concerned about is how they perform in the first one. You'll probably see a few dropped passes and wrong routes in the Memphis game, but you'll also probably see a couple big plays and/or great catches too.

There are 4 keys players that will be the difference in the game:
1) Patrick Willis
2) Brent Schaeffer
3) Ben-Jarvis Green-Ellis
4) Dexter McCluster

I would add a couple more to that list... But out of the four you listed only one played last year & that being P. Willis. Our O should be 200% more effective than the past 2 seasons...
But, I know deep in my heart it will not be enough to over power West's "best team" or sockless beer gut Joe Lee. I think we should go ahead & forfeit.

I agree you should forfeit before you get drilled by at least 30 by Pratcher, Scott, & company.

your saying you guys will be 200% better than last yr? if that turns
out to be true you will beat us. better than that you would be
competing for you conf title. i am not sure mississippi has come
that far as of yet.

That's funny because, according to this picture, you don't seem to have a problem attending games in that stadium...or are you the one mugging people outside the stadium to steal their cameras.

I have never been to your BORROWED stadium unless it was to see the Rebels play. That pic was floating around the Spirit a couple of days ago. You would think that with Kroger selling the $5.00 with a purchase of Colt 45 you would put more than 10,000 in that Hell Hole for a home game during your "Glory Years" with a heisman candidate lmfao .....
As far as stealing cameras.... I'm sure that happens & a whole lot more in that BORROWED stadium in the ghetto.....

The Tigers didn't dominate? Maybe I was at a different game.

Memphis just left a couple of TD's out there (including the 4th and goal from the 1 where it was ruled that we didn't get in). But there is no doubt who dominated the game. It is not even arguable. Sorry.

dont cloud his poor memory. no way memphis came into
their house and did that to them. those stats are much like the
pic posted, they only tell part of the story. stay tuned and he
will explain the reasons.
