We're the only ACC program to have gone to all four major bowls and the only location other than Pasedina to host the Rose Bowl. Did Maryland do that?

The infraction is major in name only. The coach has been fired and the situation has completely been dealt with. University officials do no expect any siginificant penalties from this and it seems to be a non issue.

Duke wishes they were in a situation where they could recruit top players with a mesely 350 bones. If a coach from Duke offered a kid $350 bucks to go there the kid would laugh and sign an LOI to Miami. The fact that Maryland is able to recruit top players shows how wide the gap between the two programs is.

Like I said the infraction was major in name only and it is not a concern for the University.

I would hope that any university in the ACC would be concerned with an NCAA infraction whether it was major or minor. Or do they only count at Maryland if you get punished?

You're right we can't get cheap players like that at Duke. Do you think that offering players incentives like cash to come to Maryland versus not ,like at Duke, contributes to the wide gap between the two schools' football programs?

My point was the University has fired the coach, they stopped recruiting the player and the situation is completely dealt with, they shouldnt have to worry about it anymore.

And my point about the money was that Duke could offer 10 grand to a blue chip recruit and they still wouldnt want to go to your sorry *** program. They would sign that LOI to Miami just as you are offering them the big money and make you look like a dumb***. Duke has no chance with these recruits and Maryland does that is my point, the reason I make the money comment was to show how pitiful your program was. I honestly believe that the kid would have signed with Maryland had the coach not given him the money and created all this mess. Duke wouldnt have had a chance with him no matter what they had given him and that is my point.

Just because the situation has been dealt with, and the coach is gone, that sweeps it right under the covers?

BTW the NCAA handed out the sactions and as expected it was minimal. No big deal, damn you dookies are lame.

Ya'll are just jealous of our up and coming football program. A few years ago we were basement dwellers just like Dook. Maryland and Wake Forest have both managed to claw their way off of the ACC pansey list and now Duke is down there all by themselves with little hope of moving up. And I wouldnt be suprised if the NCAA found infractions if they bothered investigating your sorry program.
