[quote="YouGeeAye"] Still rubbing the sleep out of my eyes after the long months of hibernation waiting for college football to begin, I can't help but be amused at the excitement I read about on the FSU and GT boards about the success at least one of these teams seems to be enjoying early in this football campaign.

FSU has soundly beaten two teams and looked pretty darn good doing it and Tech has lost to a has been BYU team and has beaten probably the most overrated football team in the history of the NCAA.

My amusement was heightened Saturday when Tech fans actually tore their goalposts down. Mmm, let's see...Tech beat what is probably going to end up being an unranked 8-4 or 7-5 Auburn team and the goalposts came down as though they had just beaten FSU or UGA. Might have wanted to save that celebration Techies for a more deserving opponent.

Anyway, I now feel compelled to bring all you FSU and GT fans back to earth with my season predictions for both teams. Save this post folks. It should prove to be very interesting at seasons end.

First let's take FSU
North Carolina-WIN
Maryland-WIN
Ga. Tech-WIN (please don't tear down the goalposts FSU)
Colorado-LOSE
Duke-WIN
Miami-LOSE
Virginia-WIN
Wake-WIN
ND-LOSE
Clemson-WIN
NC State-WIN
Florida-LOSE
Final Record: 8-4

Now For Tech
BYU-LOSE
Auburn-WIN (Would have been a bigger surprise if Auburn had beaten USC, or even scored)
FSU-LOSE
Clemson-LOSE
Vandy-WIN
NC State-LOSE
Wake-WIN
Maryland-LOSE
Duke-WIN
NC-WIN
Virginia-WIN
UGA-LOSE
Final Record: 6-6

I guess the thing that really is going to p__s me off again this year is that FSU will likely win the ACC with 4 losses and once again end up in a BCS bowl playing a team with 0 or 1 losses. Let's just sit back and enjoy the season folks. Should be a wild ride.
[SIZE=7] hey there
you'r already wrong & you will also be wrong on the total
final will be 11/1 for the 'NOLES

Paul,

You are truly a complete piece of drek (look that up in your Yiddish dictionary). Your insensitive remarks about the passing of my dog is truly a low point for you and for this board. I came back here because it's football season and I wanted to have some conversations about football. I had this portrait of my dog made for my wife after he passed away last February. He was our heart and soul. He died of cancer and I can only hope that no one that I truly care about has to watch a loved one (even a pet) die from this horrible disease. For you to make a joke about his passing defies explanation and shows a complete lack of class and empathy. You sir are an unbelievably low class, rotten horrible person that should know the pain of losing something dear to you, but I suspect that nothing or no one is that close to you.

You guys can talk all the football smack you want. But when someone throws out a low blow like that, it is over the edge. It will not happen here. If I see it again, anyone who does it will be gone.

I as well will echo my fellow ADMINS remarks. This board was built on the premise that people would beable to get away with things that they genereally couldn't get away with on other forums. We would like to continue that trend but this personal attacks will NOT be tolerated by anyone. There will be no more warnings. Just one day you'll try to post and you will not be able to..

I hope everyone can move forward on this and restore the football and enjoy the season ahead...

That WAS low Paul. You really need to apoligize.

I know how you feel YouGeeAye. My 13 year old dog passed away back in May. It's not easy when you lose a pet that you're close to.

Shame on you Paul. 05-nono

Someone made a remark without thinking. I think we all have seen it since your reply was on every topic Paul has recently posted on. Yes it was a low blow, and I hope he can apologize. But come on, lets move on. I am here to post about football anyway, not about anyone's dog.
