I saw that 10MAN. Not too sure what to think of it though. Sure hope the Noles can hang with the Rebels. :D

By the way, I was traveling to Troy, Alabama on the day you wrote this thread. Went to finally see my granddaughter. Poor baby had a bad cold.

Got to see Troy State beat up on Marshall last night. The final score was 33-24. Knew they wouldn't get up to Troy after beating Kansas State the week before. The students from TSU were so thrilled at beating Marshall that they tore down both goal posts after the game.

Hang with the Rebels? Huh? I think you have that backwards, MsNole. All you gotta do is throw 4 or 5 peons on the court to beat Ole Miss. :roflol: Granted, I know FSU isn't exactly a powerhouse in basketball either, but it'll be fun for us to rib each other on the days leading up to that game, won't it? We have some serious problems in the basketball area, just as in football. :bang: Hey, at least we have a pretty good baseball team.

Hope the grandbaby gets better soon, I know you were excited to get to see her anyway. My son has been fighting a sore throat lately himself....that time of year.

I saw that Troy St score, that is awesome. The best thing about that win was the timing. It finally shut those MAC fans up. They were all thumping their chests last week after the big weekend all their teams had......but Troy St brought them back down to earth. Still, a big win for the boys in Troy. I know your son was elated.

I'll be down in your neck of the woods next weekend, MsNole, well sort of. You know at the first of the season, when your football team has so much promise and things are looking to be big for your team, and you buy into all the hype, only to realize that your team is really no better than they were last year? Well, you're an FSU fan, you probably don't have that problem too often. But I, as a Rebel, do have that problem. Anyway, I bought tickets to the OM-UF game for this weekend way back before the start of this dreadful season, so now I have to endure the hell of watching my Rebs take it on the chin....again, and travel hundreds of miles to witness it. Well, you know my mother lives in St Pete, so all will not be lost in the trip I guess. We are staying with her, so that will be the best part of my weekend. Somehow I get the feeling that you will be pulling for my Rebs anyway, though.

The Noles are cruising.....congrats and good luck against those darned Canes in a couple of weeks!!!

Of course I'll be rooting for the Rebels to beat those gaytors! I always want the Rebels to win, even after I found there is a Rebel amongst y'all that hates the Noles. :D I told him/her you must have Nole envy. Y'all beat those gates at home last year and I'll predict that y'all CAN and WILL beat them in Gainesville. It can be done!!!

While in Troy, I found out that my daughter-in-law's sister lives in Jackson. Unfortunately, she had to have surgery to take out her gall bladder. She also had a baby recently (in April) and my daughter'in-law's mother was in Jackson to take care of her. Small world.

At least I didn't catch the baby's cold.

I'm in between tests for getting my recertification for the Nursing assistant. Just my luck to get the last time slot. Oh well...

Are you coming to St. Pete on Friday? I'm not even sure what time y'all play? I'll have to send you a PM and give you my phone number.

GO REBELS - Stomp those gaytors!!!

Yes, we're flying into Tampa Friday afternoon, doing some fishing off my mom's dock at her condo and relaxing before we head up to G'ville Saturday morning to get the smackdown laid upon us. I'm looking forward to the fishing, at least. :D

It can't be done, MsNole, and it WON'T be done. I do appreciate your confidence in my Rebs, but if you had been to our games you wouldn't be as optimistic. We are pitiful, and we will continue to get worse until we get rid of our coach, Elmer Fudd. We will score on FL for sure, but we can't stop them from scoring at will(Memphis put up 44 on us), even with Florida's fairly weak offense this year. Honestly, I don't even wanna go to this game. 03-puke I bought the tickets long before I realized that our coach hasn't learned a damn thing.

Anyway, enough venting.....good luck on your Nursing goal.

By the way MsNole, just saw where Mr Bowden was in Jackson tonight for a book-signing or a speech or something held at Mississippi College. I caught the tail end of the local story, but he was here for one of those reasons.....thought I'd let ya know. No big deal.

10MAN, for the last 2 years, I've told you and the other Rebel fans that you could and would BEAT Florida. What is it gonna take for you to believe old MsNole? I'm mean come on. I live in Florida. I get to see them gaytors every week. I know what they can and can't do. Sure there are a few fluke games. I also have seen the Rebels play. Remember, we get SEC games here in Florida too and I'm sure your momma told you that we get Ole Miss on channel 38.

You are gonna be the envy of the Rebels who didn't attend the game because they don't have the faith in the Rebels like I do!!!

Congratulations on Beating Florida in the Swamp!!! 04-bow 04-cheers

Hey 10Man...

Nice come back today in G-Ville...

Believe me...all the Talk Shows in the G-Ville
area really appreciate what Ole Miss did today.

I will assure you..."All the lines are tied up!"

Are you trying to sandbag us about Ole Miss
Basketball...The Rebs have been pretty competitive
for a few years. Haven't won any League titles
or anything but are competitive.

Here's some info for you on your little battle with
the MAC fans. When they won those games...
I liked it only because it does point out that all
Div 1 teams should have a crack at a National
Title.

But I know and you know that the BCS leagues
will never give up those two "at-large" spots.
(A lot of cash to surrender)

I have never liked at-large berths...They make the
regular season not seem as important. At least in
football you lose more than one, you're out.

Anyway...

MAC is 7-20 against BCS leagues, so far this year.

1-1 vs SEC (oops)
2-3 vs Big 12
1-3 vs ACC
2-7 vs Big Ten
1-6 vs Big East
They didn't play anyone from the PAC 10...They
were all playing UTEP, E Wash and Northern Ariz

Thanks, MsNole, and others I appreciate it very much. I did have a blast in the Swamp and seeing all of the upset Gator fans on the way out. It was hilarious.

I gotta give MsNole props, though. I called her on the cell phone after the game to let her gloat about how she picked the Rebs to beat they Gaytors again when I doubted. She did not do that, she was just happy for the Rebs and told me to have faith!! Class act, MsNole, and it was good to talk to you!! Go Noles!!

By the way, I'm going back to Jackson tomorrow but I certainly don't want to, the weather is gorgeous here!! Back to the grind, though, I guess! :frown:
