Seems like some things never change...
'Canes came to Play!
While it is somewhat upsetting...It ain't like it
hasn't happened before.
When we had our unprecedented streak...we were
7 and 7 with Miami.
Our defense played exceptionally well.
Only gave up one offensive TD and only 3 points in
the second half.
Plus we only dropped 2 spots in the polls. Wash St
plays USC and Miami plays Va Tech so two of the teams
above us will get beat...
Need to get ready for UVA...That will be a test. I've always
feared that game, because of where it fell on our
schedule. In one of the prediction threads back in
August...I remember writing that maybe Clemson
would help us out...(Which they did)
IF...they can put the UM game behind them...That's a
capitol IF...then ain't no reason why we can't run the
table.
UVA will be tough. Wake has better athletes, but not enough
of them...Is Notre Dame improved or the Pitt defense just
that bad...@Clemson, ain't never easy...but defense wins
for you on the road...NC State, even with the last second
heroics...has hung it up for the year...@Florida...Gaytors
took out the Tigers...although that game reminded me
of our NC State game in '98. We scored on the first
offensive play of the game..."The business as usual
attitude sets in"...and then get your butts handed to you
on a platter. I thin that's what happened to LSU.
Next year we play the 'Canes early...Labor Day...Prime
Time Monday Night.
If the league adds Boston College and there is a title game...
guess we'll be playing them twice a year.

And it was a "Mud Bowl Game" for sure. Too bad some of the receivers decided they didn't want to catch the ball and get hit by the Miami players.
It really surprised me that we only dropped 2 places in the polls. Guess that's what happens when you play a higher ranked team. Ohio State dropped 5 slots to #8... whew.
So both FSU and Virginia are coming off losses. Does Virginia have a very good defense like FSU? Can they stop the Noles? We'll all find out come Saturday night - our game starts at 7:45pm. So far this season, it sure looks like we play better at night...
:D
