Posting crap? This is something that happened... not some opinion or me speculating... No one is saying that this stuff didn't happen. I'm really sick of Maryland fans being the least classy fans in the ACC... I grew up there and still have an affection for the school and the state.

That football game against NCSU wasn't the only classless incident... If that was all... I would be fine... football players (Duke's too, probably) can get very competitive and do classless things... But when coaches flick each other off... and stuff like that... it's much worse.

BTW... I have no preconceived reason to dislike UM... When I was little... the only places I wanted to go to college were Duke, UM and UMBC (I lived right across from the campus)... It's the classless acts of some UM fans which have turned me away from UM.

Well nate, we agree on one thing, some classless things have turned me off from another university as well, Duke. I use to admire Duke until I saw their fans reactions on TV and at games towards the Maryland teams, completely rude and incomprehensible. Duke fans have done nothing short but work off an individual's misgivings and created chants for them during the BB games. If that isn't the least classy thing to do, I don't know what is. The least classy fanbase in the ACC is not Maryland, it is definitely either Duke or UVA, and most I've talked to agree. In fact, most people hardly refer to Maryland as anything, unless they are envious of recent successes, culminating nothing more than sour grapes. Here in Florida, with mostly Gator and Noles fans, they do not even hardly talk about Maryland as being a bad school but one thing is for sure, they cannot stand the likes of Duke, NC State, and UVA. They aren't talking about their colleges either, they're talking about their fans. Be careful not to cast stones while dwelling in a glass house.

Now, one thing Maryland may be is the most feared fanbase in the ACC. We can be intimidating but us being agressive only coins the term, violent begets violence. If you don't like dealing with Marylanders, I suggest you don't start anything with them. No one from UMd wants to harm anyone and that is a fact but, they're not going to take a bunch of shizz either.

And yes, what you posted is crap. NC State started all the antics that went on down there and Maryland defended themselves. So, to say Maryland is not very classy because they defended themselves is pure crap. Try again my friend.

Nate, how many topics of this nature have you started? I remember this one, along with at least one other (i think the one on GW being classless).

It occurs to me that whenever other posters want to, we post stuff on duke to down them, so i think up to this point, it's all good. However, i think it's only fair to request that this talk get moved to the smack talk forum, along with assaults on a team period. It occurse to me also that the people on accbbs are very classy, respectable folks (albeit ones that like to use funny terminology to get their point across, which there's nothing wrong with).

To make my point brief:

1)It may be a rant (and a copied one), but we've done it before with duke.

2)keep attacks on other teams in the appropriate places, otherwise sleeping fans may not lie down and take it.
