Its not duke and its not North Carolina. It's Wake Forest. They won the ACC last year and there isnt anything that leads me to believe they wont win it again this year. They lost Josh Howard but they bring back more than anyone other than North Carolina, and they have so much more depth that UNC does.

IMHO opinion Duke wont finish any better than 3rd in the ACC, unless Carolina has injury problems than they could finish 2nd.

Duke brought a lot back as well but other than Deng and maybe Shelden Williams they stink.

The sad thing is their primary post players may be their best players but K doesnt know to get them the ball, they'll keep on firing threes when their strength is inside and not out.

Wake is stacked. I just dont understand why the media doesnt see this. They have the best guards in the country and two great big men with Eric Williams and Daneilus (I know I spelled his name wrong). They very well may be one of the best teams in the country.

Am I the only person who thinks this highly of them?

I didn't know much about them before tonight. Just guessing, I would've said they were going to drop off this year. Not anymore...they are still the class of the ACC, with Tech, Duke, UNC and MD fighting for the 2-5 spots.

Im not so sure that Duke belongs with the big dogs.

I've only seen the Memphis & Indiana games, but what I've seen has me excited as hell about this team & this season! Chris Paul is living up to his billing, Big Eric Williams is a force in the paint & has moved from making stupid fouls to making his fouls count, Downey & Gray continue with the sweet shots, and Trent Strickland & Jamaal Levy made their presence known on offense & defense (I'll have to find that awesome ESPN pic of Strick going horizontal after that monster dunk!)

When Vytas & Chris Ellis are healthy...wow!

Sagarin is not bad -- but the S.O.S. is wacky b/c some scrub teams have only played one game... vs. a Top 5 team ....

It's the first time all year dook has looked like a team worthy of a top 10 ranking. I wouldn't get all orgasmic about a one game performance, nate... :rolleyes: There's a long season ahead. dook has a few more losses coming their way.
