I loved how Gary cussed out one of his players (Strawberry?) late in that Wisconsin game the other night. It was as the UMD players were going to the bench during a timeout.

You DO NOT call out a college kid, who is only there because he loves the game, like that. Totally insane! Somebody needs to deck that sweat rag.

I disagree to an extent Mackin... There is a time to cuss out your players... in a private practice... Don't do it on national TV and publicly embarrass the kid. THAT is wrong.

His job is to win. Sometimes it is a wakeup call. If he continued to cuss him out, then yes, it would be a problem.

Should we really start this again? We all know about K manipulating the officials and dropping F-Bombs all over the place...

These kids come to play basketball... they come to come better... if the coach thinks that cussing them out will make them better... more power to him... NOT ON NATIONAL TV... Do it at practice. Gary lost his temper... I don't never if he ever has it... but he can not control his temper.

K goes after the officials... just as every single coach does... Gary goes after his players and assistants, unlike 90% of coaches.

gary's methods prodcue results and I haven't heard one, NOT A SINGLE ONE, of his players ever complain about the way he goes about things...the only people who complain are the ones who watch on their TV and have no idea of what is really going on (YOU, MR JONES!)

I actually agree with Gary by going after his players. Don't blame it on someone else like Duke does, blame yourself if you mess up. Its your fault. The refs are human, they'll make mistakes.

MD, I did not see the game, but I assume you did. You claim he cursed out a player. What exactly did he say? I have no problem getting into a kids face if he continues to mess up. I find it rather amusing seeing a Duke fan complaining about a coach cursing on the basketball court.

I don't think you understand the argument... Your logic doesn't make sense. The players are human too... probably much more human than the refs are when it comes to basketball.

There were at least two "f**ks" while the camera was on Gary. I'm sure there were more when DJ made it to the bench.
