No, I'm living just fine off our #5, hopefully to be #4 ranking tomorrow, and all the sucess we've had since beating UCONN.
I think Georgia Tech has proved themselves worthy of respect after beating (then #1) UCONN. I do understand that Okafor was not at 100% and as a result of that, neither was the team. But Tech went on to beat Texas Tech, and everyone else we've played so far, good and bad, to get to 9-0. I agree we haven't had many challenges thus far in the season, but we've taken care of business.
After watching the triple OT Wake/UNC game tonight, I'm not going to shoot my mouth off and say who's the best in the country, conference, etc. because I don't know. Of course I think Tech rules, but the only thing I know for sure is that the ACC is going to be challenging and exciting this year.

All the success you've had since beating UConn? You beat Texas Tech (a solid win) and a slew of cupcakes. Lots of success...

I agree 100% with that.

In all fairness, you can't control the schedule. There are plenty of teams that have played worse ones than us (read: Texas, who has pounded the cupcakes but got exposed by Duke and 'Zona). At Ohio State looks like a tough game on paper. St Louis was within 2 inches of taking Arizona to OT. St John's is having their worst start in 81 years.
We've taken care of business against good and bad teams. We've been able to empty the bench in every game...the STL win was the only one by fewer than 19 pts so far. I'd call that a huge success for a team picked to finish 7th. I emphasize that because no one thought we'd be near this good, so I'm enjoying every one of these blowouts, whether it's UConn or Southeast Oklahoma Cow College.

JJ you can spin it any way you want... If I wanted to make GT's schedule look horrible using your little 6 degree rule you have going... I could, it's not hard.

That's the RPI as one source... could you do that for the Sagarin rankings too?
And that's a full 37 spots Duke is ahead of Tech.
UConn not so impressive huh?

I wouldn't put much stock in blowing out MSU and Texas. According to the computers, your Detroit and Princeton wins carry more weight.
Duke (Sagarin #7)
Purdue - 16
Detroit - 52
Texas - 57
Princeton - 74
MSU - 86
Portland - 122
Pacific - 144
Liberty - 222
St John's - 246
Avg. Sagarin - 113.7
Tech (Sagarin #3)
UConn - 27
Texas Tech - 31
Ohio St - 119
UL-Lafayette - 126
Hofstra - 135
St Louis - 173
Cornell - 245
Alabama A&M - 282
Tenn St - 297
Avg. Sagarin - 159.4

And what does this have to do with Tech and their national ranking? LOL, got to love the 2-way street always displayed by Techies.

What 2-way street? Maybe if you said something more than "its just sad", somebody might understand you?
Does that mean you think Tech is overrated? If so, have you actually watched them or are you just looking your red & black colored glasses?

It's clear according to both computer polls (which mean very little right now) that Duke's SOS is a good deal stronger than Tech's.
